[3.11] CoC Ball Lightning Assassin - 20M+ Shaper DPS/10k ES/fortify - League Starter Guide Included

what's a good method to go about crafting a shield for this?
My impression about this build.

Clear speed: good clear speed, can do map very fast without problem.

Tankiness : 8k9 ES with my stuff, can tank almost everything but it will be even more if there is some damage mitigation, I can tank the 3 sirus beam, shaper laser, but I get oneshot to shaper hammer (AoE), lvl 83 lab (with the new offering) to izario slash, phoenix explosion (my tankiness test).
I may play bad but I struggle with boss who can't be hit but you still receiving dmg (chimera while smoke, uber elder when one of them becomes invincible)

I think i'm an average player.
with a base of 10ex (160c = 1ex at this moment) I was able to do shaper, elder and sirus A8 without problem with 7k5 ES, 20% cdr and 7 aps and all gem 20/20 but without 100% stun immunity I couldn't do more, even T2 seed was hard.
But needed a least 8k, 100% stun immunity with cluster jewel and more dmg with a awakened added lightning dmg (1ex) and increased critical strike support (because too low crit) I was able to do uber elder and used 3 portal (was lvl 93).

Started to min-max with a bottle faith, 55% cdr, 9 aps. 8k9 ES.
Was able to do everything very fast, sirus don't last more than 1 minute. But die to t4 seed (too much monster to see smt and turn around) need at least 2 portals.

My stuff still can be upgraded but it's more than enough to do all content

My stuff lvl 97 and PoB
Spoiler

POB : https://pastebin.com/nnun0CGj
(the melding nodes give me nothing so I changed it for Foresight)
I think I miss a lot of dps without trans flesh but I don't have enough jewel socket

Just here to throw my opinion of this build.

Currently lvl 91 (really low), 10.2k ES, ~13m shaper dps. This build obliterates content while face tanking, and i'm not even with 52% cdr yet. Its just REALLY strong, and also, a really good mapper considering the single target damage, it's just a tad bit slower than my ED/C.

Also, i've managed to craft this helmet for the build

I wonder if this could be considered mirror worthy for this build, or one with +1 power charge instead of the hybrid ES would be better. Considering tha harvest exists, would it even be considered to be mirrored? Idk. Its 6x T1 tho.

Very nice helmet. The hybrid mod gives you 250-300 ES while +1 power charge gives you 5-6% more DPS. Both mods are worth about 2 passive points, so I would say they are equally valuable. Not sure if it's mirror worthy. I would prefer mirroring a sceptre because it has a lot of potential, and it's very hard to craft a perfect one.
hey guys is there any ways to incorporate a HH in this build? I just dropped one on my 2nd ever juiced burial chambers through while harvesting t1 seeds lmao. or would it be better used on another build?

I'm mainly thinking of using it to do super juiced maps with all sextants rolled, 100% delirium, etc.

Thanks!

my current gear includes:

flasks:

I went the max block route for more survivability and its amazing, I can actually take like 5-10 hits and not insta die and still be regening its amazing. credits to someone who posted the idea here about speccing into glancing blows and investing in spell block and spell block nodes.

Thanks again!

I've been running 100% juiced maps and tried with HH. While it scales defenses very well, it does very little for our damage. iirc a lot of hh mods scale Phys, which doesn't help us at all.

Having a cdr belt and getting 51% cdr is a better investment for damage.

I'm running the spell-block route as well and it's great, reaching some ceilings on mix-maxing but look forward to any suggestions!

(also running two Thread of Hope, one with Corrupted Blood, other with Cannot be Silenced)

Vast Power is nice on the Mega, since it saves a few AoE nodes on the tree.

I still need a slightly better weapon, getting max-roll ias would let me drop onslaught flask. But not really anything on the market, and really hard to roll with damage per power charge and such.

Hey very nice end game gear ! would you mind sharing your PoB please ?
I just finished crafting my new sceptre.

Crafting process:
1. Deafening essence of zeal on a Karui Sceptre
2. Fracture suffix on the essence mod.
3. Lightning modifiers are more common seed craft until I got Esh's mod. This has a very low spawn weight.
4. Made all suffixes into non-caster, lightning mods.
5. Benchcraft lightning damage to attacks prefix.
6. There was 2 tactics that I used to get the lightning damage to spells mod. 1) remove caster, augment lightning 2) remove/add caster, nonlightning to lightning. This took about 20 tries. I would have also accepted +1 to lightning skills prefix.
7. Reroll item, keeping prefix mods seed.
8. Removed lightning attack prefix.
9. Augmented Chaos convertion placeholder prefix.
10. This part is tricky. I make it so that there are 3 prefix, 3 suffix. 1 suffix is the fracture. 1 suffix is benchcraft spell crit to block. 1 junk suffix. Then do "noncrit to crit" seed craft. Since there are 3 suffixes and crit can only be a suffix, the craft can't remove a prefix because then there would be no room for the new suffix.
11. I managed to get crit chance first and then did augment/remove crit until I got crit multi. It would have been safer to get crit multi first and then get crit chance with attack augments. I used around 10 crit augment seed crafts in total.
12. Targeted divine seed crafts for crit, then attack, then lightning, then caster.
13. Remove chaos conversion placeholder prefix.
14. Benchcraft "hits can't be evaded"
15. Hillock for 28% quality. Perfect fossil in the beginning could have been better.
16. Vorici for 3 white sockets.
17. Weapon enchant with elemental damage.

Beautiful sceptre, congrats! But I have to warn those who want to follow this procedure. In step 3, the chance of hitting the T1 lighnting is extremely low. Even if we assume that a increased lightning damage mod appear every time (which is not true), the chance of rolling the T1 mod is 0.64%. This means you'll need at least 157 trials on average.

Yesterday, I was thinking a similar crafting process to craft a gg sceptre. The outline of the procedure is the following:
1) Alt spam a sceptre until T1 increased spell or lightning damage rolls (or buy one from the market).
2) Fill 2 suffix slots with dummy mods and craft "cannot roll attack mod"
3) aug lightning and remove/add lightning until T1 added lightning damage to spells or +1 to lightning rolls.
4) Fill a prefix with a dummy mod and remove 2 dummy mods in suffix.
5) Augment attack and remove/add attack until T1 attack speed or T1 crit chance rolls.
6) Augment and remove/add crit or speed until the other mod rolls.
7. Crusader slam and remove/add influence until T1 increased damage per power charge rolls. You might want to try redeemer for "7% chance to deal double damage" instead.

Just wanted to come in and say - great build.

I started this kinda late in the league so still have a bunch of shit to do, my ST feels a bit low but I'm still missing woke gems, 6-7 levels or so and some gear slots (sceptre is WIP and when I manage to make it I'm gonna replace my belt to hit the next APS breakpoint as I'm still on the first one and get even more tanky with a nice fat ES shield)

In any case, I was wondering - when I load up my character in POB and enable my flasks and mark all the stuff in configuration section (power charges, tailwind, crit recently etc) I get 6.65 APS while ingame I'm at 6.02 (with tailwind and flasks enabled)

Should I be looking at the ingame APS or what POB calculates? Since that could be the cause to my lacking ST since i'm literally melting everything else like butter.
