As a raider you will be one shotted sometimes. Simulacrum giving physical as extra chaos damage and we have -60 chaos res. Normaly I never get one shotted. My life 5000+ if you want more survivalibity go take avatar of the slaughter and veil. you will get free 10% dodge attack and spells. quartz flask giving 10% dodge attack and spells too. max dodge = min die. I m getting resistance from cluster jewels, abyss jewels and normal jewels. Ele weakness giving huge damage. The Taming is very good alternative but curse is best option.

without a less hatred reservation the buffs are indeed in one of the 6links:

Enlighten 4 - Herald of Ash - Herald of Purity - Hatred - Blood and Sand - Precision 1

This will let you reserve pretty much all mana except for around 8 to 12 or something, this is also why at least -8 mana cost is needed to run the build.

If you dont have an Enlighten 4 you will need an enchant that lets you reserve less mana with hatred, since hatred is the bulk of the mana reservation.

One little thing to add, if you get your hands on a Farrul's Fur you can run Aspect of the Cat aswell, provided you have an item that grants you the skill.

For anyone trying this build, I recommend swapping out "Increased Elem Dmg" support gem for Inspiration support until you can afford a good ring or Englighten to reduce mana reservation. Also until your crit chance is closer to 100. This lets you run Hatred, Herald of Purity, Precision and Blood/Sand with enough mana that leech will sustatin. Enlighten will be necessary for Herald of fire.


With Level 20 Inspiration, 6 charges will generate 42% More Elem dmg + 48% increased crit chance and 34% reduced mana cost for Cyclone.

Level 20 Elem Dmg support is 59% More elem dmg. The small trade-off in damage is worth it.

I finally got my hands on a Farrul's Fur along with a helmet granting lvl 20 Aspect of the Cat.
Not only does it provide a nice dps boost with 15% attack speed or 100% increased crit chance, but also the 15% to completely evade damage. This improved my survivability quite noticeable.

What still remains strange are some random oneshots occuring.. i feel like it must be something like lightning thorns on some delirium mobs - i remember my blade vortex character a couple of leagues back getting oneshot by those in a similar manner. It does not seem to be just some form of damage dealt directly to me, it really feels like some form reflection because it is just instantaneous - is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm sitting at 4.8k life at the moment with all resistances capped, however i have not yet achieved full ele conversion...

Can I use this chest even though it is not an EVA chest (dont mind the gems) ?



Other question:

Can I use this helm to socket all my auras except Precision ?

I tried running a high life armour chest at first (kaoms heart) and i was dying all the time, once i switched to a simple EVA 6L chest my survivability improved ALOT. Armour is pretty much a dead stat for this chracter and you won't notice the 3% or something damage reduction - you do notice hovewer the increased evasion chance from an evasion chest.

As for the helmet - enlighten 4 provides an 88% mana multiplier and i reserve 98.72% of my mana with the enloighten 4 6-Link. So i don't think you will be able to run all Auras with just this helmet.
hatred - 50%, HoA - 25%, HoP - 25%, Blood And Sand 10% = 110%
With enlighten 4 this goes down to 96.8%.
Your helmet would leave you at 99% mana reserved.

This would probably allow to you run all auras EXXCEPT for precision, so you won't be able to run precision anywhere else aswell.

I do have a question myself though, i've been tinkering a little with the Skill points and was wandering if it wasn't worth it to spend the 3 passvies for brinkmanship instead in the thread of hope area.

This for me would result in:
-20% Melee damage
-20% increased area of effect
-5% less damage taken from area effects
-10% increaed area of effect when i stunned something recently

+45% increased physical damage
+4% chance to deal double damage
+8% Attack speed with onehanded weapons
+30% damage with ailments from onehanded weapons
+25% critical strike chance

Performing this change results in a 66k damage increase in hideout with aspect of the cat (400k to 466k). But as of now i cant really depict the changes resulting from the increased area of effect.... even though it seems to be worth it.

Usually the lifebar not beeing full despite overleeching is a rounding error of the game engine - we are in fact at max life - you can also check this with the ingame tool tip (look for it going down when you take a hit etc.)

FWIW - I found my survivability increased a lot by linking Leap Slam + Endurance Charge on stun + curse on hit + warlord mark. You are guaranteed stuns from leap slam on full life opponents, so you're getting 3 endurance charges each leap into a new pack.
