Removed tree progression from this reply, put it in the guide under the "Fastest Leveling/League Progression" section.

I'm so confused, the tree screenshot in the "Fastest Leveling/League Start Progression" that goes towards 'Arcanist Dominion' does not match any of the POB pastbins (CI Occultist; Life/ES hybrid Trickster; LL Occultist; CI Occultist).

Replied above with a tree and some nodes/orders to follow. You spec those early points to make leveling faster, then you respec them later in the game when you pick up Chaos Innoculation. Just follow the numbered progression on the picture I linked (you will need to right click, copy image address, then paste into the browser so that way it is bigger).

EDIT 2: I added some additional detail in the "Fastest Leveling/League Start Progression" that hopefully clears this up for new players. As an aside, when you're going CI (chaos inoculation)- it sets your life to 1, but also sets your chaos resistance to 100%. This is an incredibly strong defensive mechanic late game, but it's very difficult to swap to CI while leveling. Because of this, you grab at least ~20% max life on the tree and then spec out of these points when you make the swap to CI since % life nodes do not benefit you as CI.

I'm level 42 and don't understand the build still. I watched the video and you use only Vortex and everything procs after. I have the 2 spellslinger setup but vortex is not linked in any way to the wand attack.I need to atk with with wand and then use vortex, which is not what I saw and read on the build guide.

Can someone explain this to me, please.

Arcan surge doesn't proc with Stormblast Mine, they are properly linked. When I look at the item, I quote: "Cannot support skills used by ... mines".

Am I missing something? Why is it recommended to link them if the proc doesn't happen?

It is in the guide and in the video. I attack in the video while holding down Vortex. Vortex has an instant cast speed and procs on top of Frostbolt, as that is a mechanic of the skill. You take advantage of that by just constantly holding down Vortex (or putting it on LMB- left mouse button) while attacking.

EDIT: Looking at your character, you don't have power siphon- so I assume you aren't attacking. You need to attack to throw out Creeping Frost + Frostbolt when they're linked with Spellslinger.

You are right. I thought the cost of the mines couldn't go towards the arcane surge buff, but it could not support it; however, that is not the case. I will remove those links from the leveling section.
