[3.15] Essence Drain 6.6 Mil DoT DPS | Very Beginner Friendly

is this still playable? And arent there some better options with Clusters? ( i actually dont know thats why i ask xD )
When you arrive to maps don't have nothing. You are a sheet of paper, is very slow and monster hit you more faster than you and die. The main hability is very difficult to hit a monster with previous contagion, normally they run to hit you.

I'm currently mapping yellow with some minor changes. It will not work out of the box for 3.15 for maps, but it'll blow through the act content easily.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten into clusters with this guy yet.

Hello

So I looked, your character looks pretty good actually. One thing with the build is you cannot just run into a pack face first, you need to play like a caster technically, and dodge the big slams on the ground. There isn't much survivability to the build other than flame dashing away and killing them before they get to you.

I would recommend switching over to low life if you have enough currency, you also have some talent points to changes I feel like you should make. You don't have "Charisma," or "Sovereignty."
These talents allow you to use more auras which in theory, make you way stronger.

Then come along a 6-link essence drain bow, (I'm not really sure how to craft THE Bow anymore I'm going to need to do some experimenting, but you most important is the + level of gems on the bow, and then as much chaos damage over time multi as you can get) everything dies pretty quick. Bosses are not instant but you can shoot an Essence Drain, throw totems down and run around it's a pretty safe build because of how Essence Drain works with the regen.

I would level 5 Essence Drains, or 6 in your back bar because they are honestly the most important with levels. Where else do I say level something in your offhand? I can remove it if you point it out because that would be my mistake lol

Clusters MIGHT be better now? Cluster's were only better early-mid game, but when you got late-late game, they were not better than actual talent points.

- Take a hunter lvl 82 6-linked bow
- alt spam for liquefaction (35% dot multi)
- regal & annul until only that mod is left (if it bricks, retry)
- craft multimod + cannot roll attack modifiers (block both suffix)
- slam exalt twice for +1 to socketed gems and hunter mod 60-89% increased chaos damage over time
- remove crafted mods, recraft multimod + +2 to support gems + 35% chaos damage over time multiplier (now suffix)

This will cost at least 9ex to make.

Instead of crafting the veiled mod, you could try Aisling slam when the bow has 2 mods, since aisling removes 1. But it's risky 1) it can remove the wrong mod out of the 2; 2) the unveil can be a prefix; 3) the unveil could be a suffix but without an option to take chaos dot multi.

Afaik unveiling the "wrong" mod means you have to restart as Aisling can't be applied to an item with already a veiled mod (according to reddit posts about it).

P.S. You can also start with a non-hunter no-influence bow and instead of slamming 2 ex on that step you slam 1ex 1 hunter orb to get hunter prefix and turn it into a hunter item.

Hey all,

Having lots of fun playing this build in 3.15, i'm at around t12 maps now and sometimes I have maps where i'm having trouble staying alive.
Mostly it's because I don't have a automatically reacting potion against frost yet and often get frozen, but I also notice sometimes that I just don't cast my essence drain due to a stun of some kind ???

What can I do to improve my survivability ??
Not really loaded with currency but have near 2ex to spend.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi

There is not too much you can do to improve the survivability other than:

1) Swapping over to full low life, the more energy shield, and the more damage is more survivability

2) Maybe get a Cast When Damage Taken and an Immortal Call gem setup somewhere in the build. I would suggest keeping those gems around level 3.
You would sacrifice two gems for these. Most likely the Vaal Righteous Fire, and the Clarity and need a find a way around linking them in the build.
Why do all of your PoB links have *% increased critical strike chance if you haven't crit recently" on boots? DoT doesn't crit right?
