💀3.15💀 iLL3aT’s Cold Skeleton Warriors/Archers/Mages ❆ League Starter ❆ All Content ❆

@AebLincoln & NSuck - thank you both for the explanation. I understand now. Although my Chaos resist is at 100%, that's based on the 75% default. I guess I will continue to just roll with the Doryani since ultimately I'll be acquiring a new large cluster anyway when I hit 100. But definitely good to know.
So I’m going to play this build in SSF. Until I get Triad Grip, whenever that is, am I still good to follow the PoB tree? Or are there changes that need to be made considering I can’t go ele til those gloves and will need to go Phys?
Finally got done harvest crafting on my gear. May be done with league now though, something about as soon as I finish my gear I get bored. I did get/craft up a 2nd version of my chest (same exact stats) so I can double corrupt one. Will try to get a temple room to do that soon.

90% max chaos res w/ divine flesh, 7600 life, 75/71 block w/o glancing blows, roughly 44m DPS.

hey. very fun build and i am enjoying it very much.

i have a quick question concerning the equipment for the animated guardian.

i have the option that he can aplly 2 additional curses ( vixens/windscream)
and i have some triad grips with +12 ele weakness on hit.

would it be better to give him 2 other cuses like temp. chains etc. and use elemental weakness in my triad grips? or just give hime ele weakness as well and one other curse?

thx in advance.

cheers

Like A Boss! Very nice gear!
I have a question about this paragraph from the guide:

Bossing: Before the boss fight starts, summon all of your skeletons, drop a frost bomb under the boss’ feet, and then cast desecrate four times. Drop frost bombs often, and cast desecrate periodically.

=============

I am confused on the use of desecrate here. Why is this being self cast if it is auto cast by the wand?

is this play style what we do before we get a auto spell trigger wand?

So you are sure, that always bodies are on the ground. And everytime you cast desecrate the wand triggers a spell (debuff or offering).

ok I am confused even more now. :)

I thought the setup in the trigger wand was suppose to be (in order): Desecrate - Offering - Molten Shell(or something similar)

I don't think that we are suppose to self cast desecrate in this set up, as you suggested above. My understanding is that we are suppose to cast any other spell and then desecrate will auto cast first followed by Offering and the Molten Shell/whatever....

if you have three gems in your wand one of them will cast everytime you cast a spell.

So you need three casts and the desecrate apear. And than you need 1-2 casts that offering work. Thats 4-5 Casts in a fight.

The trick is, you selfcast desecrate and in your wand are two gems.

If you cast desecrate then offering comes or the debuff. 50% Chance to get offering. You increase the change for debuff and offering. Because you cast not offten skeletons in the fight.

It is only for bossfight wihtout corpes from the minions. During mapping you put all three into the wand. Corpes are everywhere.

ok thank you, I did not realize that we were suppose to switch gems while bossing, that is what confused me.

What gem do you remove when you switch your desecrate from the trigger wand to another socket so that you can self cast it?

================

as an aside, I was under the impression that there was no randomness in the trigger wand and that it cast the spells in the exact order they were placed in the wand (which is why Desecrate is listed first).

I expected at the beginning of a boss fight to simply tap Dash twice and then the offering would be up and then it should be easy enough to keep the offering up while bossing since I will be using skills (be it movement or re summoning skele's).

I will have to re educate myself on these trigger wands because they don't seem to work like I expected them to based on your recent post about the spells being randomly chosen (although I might be misunderstanding your wording).
