[3.13 UPDATED] gr0bbs | Poison Blade Vortex | Budget Viable | Endgame 50Mil+ DPS | Video Guide

I've been loving this build so far, as an inexperienced player there was a small learning curve but now getting into starting maps it's a ton of fun ripping through maps at such high speed.

You are not wrong that this build really revolves around the diadem helmet, the auras feel like the only thing keeping me alive. Mana was super aids pre-diadem. The game changes after that and becomes so much easier. Ring/neck/weapons all also felt great to acquire. It's a shame the corrupted Cold Iron Point is so expensive.

I can't wait to keep progressing into better gear and jewels.

Hi guys,

Please help make my toon more tanky. I am willing to trade offense for defense.

Currently, the clear speed is great, but sometimes it get one shot.

POB: https://pastebin.com/KpJdNpAT

Gear (4.76k life)

Go with a shield?
Fill out the life wheel?
Replace some gems?
Any other improvement for DSP without much loss in defense?

Thanks

repath through wind dancer, forget the cluster jewel, take freedom of movement arm, and the 4 point 20% max life below it. you're spending 21 points to get a cluster jewel with 24% life. Pretty sure you can find more than 4% life with the remaining 17 points to get there.

It's not a lack of damage this killing you. You've got enough of that, the difference an extra 10% total life gives is significant. That being said, you have to know how to get by packs in maps and trust your poison will kill them. Standing around waiting for them to die while not having fortify up is not smart.

If you have a lot of currency on your hand, you could also try to do what i just did. Since i'm doing Simulacrum and 100% delirious maps now, i wanted to switch to a bit more defensive stand. So i got myself a Watcher's eye with "unaffected by poison" (that mod alone should be cheap, i got a dual-malevolence which did cost me 25ex) + golden rule for selfpoisoning + Apep's slumber-shield (5c) + Mind over matter (you can look at my talent tree).

That way i switched from ~5.4k HP and 300 ES to 5.1k HP and 660 ES, which is 5.4k eHP vs 5.8k eHP, in addition to +3 max resistances while i'm poisoned (all the time!) which is an insane defensive boost. And on top of that, you reg 250 ES per second.

The caveat is: if you're running two Circle of nostalgia + asenath, you need at least T2 rolls for your resistances on your belt + boots (two-toned boots are a must!) and maybe even all res on your stygian jewel. My boots did cost me 8ex, the belt 9ex.
Just wondering, In regards to cluster jewels, do the "+% Damage over Time Multiplier" ones work just as well as "+% Chaos Damage over Time Multiplier" ?

Also, since we have "Septic Spells" added onto w/ Cluster jewels, do we even need "Poison Support" or can we slot it out for something else?

I don't believe the two have too much of a difference from looking at them in PoB, but I haven't looked into it a lot.

Getting a Circle of Nostalgia with 60% Herald of Agony buff effect on it will bring you to 97% without Poison Support, at which point I would recommend switching over to Void Manipulation. A second Circle with buff effect will easily bring you over 100%.
ES on belt counts as a defense roll, so you could remove that 16% dmg mod and use harvest to reroll ES to t1 for another ~50 ehp. If you'd planned in advance for this you could used a hybrid ev/es base chest armor for another 80 or so.

I'm aiming for a similar setup but without explosions/power charge on chest, since I'm broke and awakener orbs are so expensive. Not sure about 1 ring or two. The added expense and strain on getting resists might make it hard to pull off.

Thank you guys for your suggestions! Responses to your comments:

"You COULD get a rare chest instead of a Kintsugi"
I am saving up money for this. Does the exploding chest provide much better clear than just from the glove?

"Though you already have enough DPS to pretty easily do A8 Sirus deathless"
I am bad at boss. Can't even do A0 Sirus :(

"get a second Circle of Nostalgia, along with level 21 Vaal BV and awakened gems"
Let's see how much resistance I can get from the chest. Having second Circle might stress resistance a lot. I am looking into level 21 Vaal BV and awakened gem when I have money

"You're making sure to use a fully upgraded Lunaris pantheon"
Opps. Will work on this

"repath through wind dancer, forget the cluster jewel"
I just invested into cluster jewel. I think I will stick with them for now to see how it goes.

Thanks
good build, without uber stuff:

That really depends on the mob density. I'm using 4 scarabs (Ambush / Shaper / Breach / Legion) + 4 sextants with additional monster packs + Nemesis mod and Alva-mission, sometimes with 5 Delirium orbs. I notice the stacking explosive for sure. But if you're just doing "normal" mapping, without that juicing, Asenath should be more than enough.

I'm afraid to say, but if you can't kill him on A0, you'll never be able to kill him on A8. This build does a TON of dmg and melts bosses and Crusaders who don't have phases. With Sirus, you have to know what he does and when to move where. The first half of the fight is pretty easy to learn. Just stutterstep-dance around him, put down your totems and refresh BV. The last phase ("I... am... alive") is a bit trickier to learn. Failure here is no option with this build. You can try to burst him down as soon as he goes into this phase, putting down totems, popping flask, Vaal Blade Vortex and Plague Bearer. But you need high dmg output for that.
yeh, i started popping last phase of a8 only with cluster setup. before it is really "melee" unfriendly, because of how much time you spend just waiting for him to get outta disco beams. first two phases are easy with any build, just a matter of practice.
No rest for the wicked
