[3.12] Hasunic's Toxic Rain / Caustic Arrow Trickster | Leaguestarter | Ailment Immunity | SSF
+1 doesn't yield any extra damage in pob
The 5 extra pods from tr doesn't either. You have to manually multiply these. CA cannot stack. When you increase the number of pods, toxic rains area of effect also increase making these harder to stack upon eachother, but making the clear better. The clear on CA also improves. I don't know how much increase aoe you need per extra projectile to make them overlap, because increasing aoe also increase the distance between each pod. I wouldn't multiply more than 8% per extra projectile, but that's just me. [3.9]Hasunic's Toxic Rain Trickster: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2712106

" I was thinking similarly about DoFL - also wondering about conc effect vs void manip on CA, the damage difference is significant and you dont miss the AoE all that much if you have +1/2 pierce and extra arrows from dying sun. Last edited by Rhaolith#7270 on Apr 8, 2020, 2:51:40 PM

I recently switched to this build from Erva's CA/TR, and while I became much more tanky (6k ehp -> 10k), it seems my damage has suffered a lot. CA was doing 3M dps before, basically instakilling everything in maps; now it does like 600k, I get slowed down by rares and some magic packs and have to spam TR. I have no doubt that this build is *better* in that it is more balanced and will enable me to clear more content without dying, but I think I'm just not quite there with the gear yet.
What are my most obvious weakpoints here? I'm aware I need to get the elreon enchant for my rings (expensive to buy the veiled) and will probably eventually switch belts/shoes to get the ailment immunities, but for now am leaning on the belt for resists. Try putting your CA in bow and see if you like the other way around... You can always switch for standalone bosses where you realy need the solo dps.

" That's exactly what I was just about to do. I feel like for map clearing, CA in the bow with max dmg supports and toxic in the chest with mirage just feels really nice; you can toss a TR every once in a while to keep mirage going and clean up whatever you might have missed with the CA spam. I realize I'm bombarding your thread with questions here, and I apologize, but just one more... what are your thoughts about awakened swift affliction having 25% reduced duration vs the 15% reduced on regular swift affliction? Is it worth the 10% dot multi you get? Seems less clearly 'better' than the other awakened supports. Last edited by Rhaolith#7270 on Apr 8, 2020, 3:51:09 PM

How much of a boost is Unnatural Instinct? It's running 15 ex right now so curious if it's worth that kind of investment.

No not realy. That's kinda expensive, lol.

"4% to get frenzy charge on kill? not a lot of dps boost power charges don't do much for this build 9% life 15% es and 4% chance to get endurance charge on kill? wouldn't pay 15 ex for that a good watcher's eye is probably a better overall investment, unless you have everything and you're just buying luxury upgrades |
|
" Thanks for the reply! I'll look into a better Watcher's Eye first - right now I just have the single "Unaffected by bleeding while effected by Malevolence" mod, so I could definitely upgrade there. |
