Hi,
I really like your guide. After the torment with the Marauder, I switched to your Ocultist and this is it. I am looking forward to version 3.10.
I had to change some skills a little bit because of the lack of proper colors and I'd like to ask what you think about it?
On the right side of the tree, I'd like to reach charisma. I have an extra jewel lowering the mana reservations in my stash. That should do the 4 auras at once. I hope. Am I wrong?

I'm sorry the Marauder didn't work out for you but I'm glad you found something that really suits you! I'm sorry 3.10's official version is taking so long. It's not from neglect, I can tell you that much.

I went to check out your character (the link is fine) but your account is set to private. It's private by default. Let me know once your character tab is public and I'll respond as quick as I can.

I would like to add that unfortunately I have a problem with my character with end game bosses. Aztiri and Katarina are out of reach. Fight takes too long and eventually they kill me. With auras I have 5.5k ES and 7k Vortex, All resistance are above 100%.

Thanks for unlocking the character tab. I think what you've done with what's been available to you is good. It's hard to get the gear that's perfect for you. But If you focus on pure Energy Shield gear, it shouldn't be too hard to get the proper socket colours with Chromatic Orbs.

Now remember, this 3.9 version of the build is a "for fun" build. (a "personal favourite" guide, not a "destory the atlas in two seconds".) This won't hit bosses hard. It's damage bonuses come from having killed lots recently. So bosses that don't have lots of extra little minions running around will take a while. Also, having the CwDT to apply curses (which also gives us a damage bonus) isn't always applied as well. I'm almost done the 3.10 version of the guide (which fixes these issues). Just in time for 3.11 :(.

I think what you've done is good. Just keep trying to get gear closer to the guide's suggestions. And don't' forget "adding spell damage" only applies to hits. Look for a Cold Damage Over Time Multipier mod. That's your strongest damage mod.

Oh, and even with the extra mana reservation stuff you added, it's unfortunately still only enough to run 3 35% auras.

I've been following your 3.10 pob and have to say it's awesome so far. I've just hit level 80,so still early days, but i can do yellow maps a breeze and uber lab was a cake walk. I was playing a vd spellslinger, but the bossing and survival was pretty sketchy, but it meant I had a few bits from ssf for this new character I guess.
One quick question - why the change from ice nova, cwd, coc to ball lightning setup? Are you finding it better that way?

I've found a bunch of cluster jewels, so been playing around with them. I've managed to get discipline, malevolence and enfeeble all going, with enough to cast vortex etc. My character is here if you fancied taking a look, but no worries if you're busy.

I don't understand why? Now I have 3 working auras with the reservation reduced from 35% to 28%. If I add a path to charisma it will be another 12% down so I should be able to attach 4? Unless there is some other limitation?

Anyway many thanks for the suggestions. Of course, I know it's for fun - after all, it's just a game ;-) I chose this build because I do not have to worry about expensive equipment or break my fingers on the keyboard. But finally you'd want to kill some boss?;-) I mean for more fun and motivation to further play;-)

Awesome! I'm glad you like it! I'm sorry your other build didn't pan out but I'm glad you're having a good time here.

I switched from the 3.9 version of the CwDT setup because it was too circumstantial. On paper, 3.9 offered more damage and defence. But it was all based on being hit. Even though we're always getting hit, there were too many circumstances where we'd get hit without damage mitigation (because Enfeeble wasn't applied to that enemy yet). It really hurt sometimes in some boss battles.

With the Pastebin version, our defence is ALWAYS on. It really has a huge impact on survivability from map to map. Also, having space to add Fortify with Shield Charge is really nice. And even though on paper our damage is lower, because we're always applying AT ATLEAST 2 curses on every enemy, our damage in game is consistently greater than the 3.9 version.

I could have done the mana reservation math wrong. I guess you'll have to try it out in game and see. Mana reservation math isn't additive though, it's multiplicative. Cluster jewels only cost one regret for the whole cluster though, so it's cheap to try it out.

When I post the 3.10/3.11 guide, I'll have a new example video. Hopefully it'll be more to your liking, boss killing included ;).

Thanks for your previous response, really appreciate it. The new guide looks great, I'm definitely going to go for this as a league starter in SSF (all i've played for years now) next league. Works picked up a bit my end, so I'm still working my way through maps and delves. I have to say this build is right up my street, so thanks again. I've played for about 7 years off and on, but never tried a CI build, this was my first foray, and i'm loving it, doing plenty of content I haven't really tried before.
One thing I can't do is Atziri in the Apex, I'm not sure if that's a build limitation (to be fair i've deviated a fair bit from your guide at this point), or maybe my end - is that something you're normally able to do, if so any insights on how? I'm not fussed if not, more curious.
Bit of a random one this, but on POENinja i've noticed there'a few people that have Prism Guardian equipped, and all their aura's on it. I'm not sure if that's just a troll, because I can't see how you can go CI and still reserve life for Blood Magic. I've even seen some running Blood Magic Gem with Aura's and CI.
