So...What about the nerf?...In reddit are talking about 25% less damage minimum aand 50% less life for zombies...
Hey yissus!
It's only a nerf compared to 3.8 standards. This build worked really well in 3.7 and before...it was my "go to" Atlas Crusher. These nerfs still have zombies WAY better than they used to be. They just aren't as good as 3.8.
I'm not worried about it at all. If you play the build, let me know what you think! I'll be playing levelling this build later in the league to see what it's like.

ease of play - check
ZOMBIES - check !!!!
definite goto build for the new league for all players new or experienced, great guide as always from Wrecker and already great input from the previous players of this build in 3.8
Looking forward to the new league, slowing and slamming everything on the screen
Spoiler
(Make sure to grab as much minion speed as possible on gear throughout the next league as it makes a great build a fantastic build)
to everyone I would like to say...
Zombie on!
Hey 0nyX!
Thanks for your kind words and encouragement! Thank you. It's nice to have so many return players hey? They (and you) made the last league a great place to talk PoE.
Good suggestion too.
Zombie on.

As I become more relaxed in my old age, as I look for ways to live a more stress free life (including the way I approach games), this build looks very promising when it comes to my style. I will begin 3.9 with this zombie guide. Once I'm established in the league I'll also check out your other guides for other characters I may build. Thanks for the effort you've put into this!
Hey Abattoir!
Thank you very much! I hope you like the build. But please, if you have any suggestions for the guide or build, please let me know! But I'm glad the build looks like it'll be well suited for your playstyle. I hope you like it. Thanks again! Let us know how it goes.

3.8 SLO-MO player. This build will still rock in 3.9.
I did not play SSF but I did clear everything with this build concept.
It's nice and relaxed. Just stroll through maps.
Doing this again in 3.9.
Zombie on!
Hey Pip_n_Tip!
Nice! I'm excited too! I hope you enjoy it just as much as the last league!
Zombie on.

I'm going to try ARC instead of Ball Lighting since its arc jump range got buffed and I like the blazing fast visual effect a lot more.
I always found BL to slow and visually meh but it worked.
Arc mana cost is dirt cheap too up to lvl 20 and that means lots of forks, looking forward to the light show so I don't lose out not having pierce like BL.
Have a great League and thanks for the update on the guide.
Edit; I would love a flame dash for this build for gaps and fences but I don't think I could fit it in unless I dropped Enhance as I never get it to level 2 anyways!

Hey JunoVC!
Thank you. You're always very kind. I appreciate it. I hope Arc works well.
Ya, adding a movement skill instead of Enhance (or even an Unset Ring) is a good idea. Good call.
I hope you have a great league as well!

This build is as close to perfect as they come, however I did alter it to MY play style AFTER playing into maps in the original configuration.
It became apparent that I as a player need a movement skill because I put myself in bad situations OFTEN!
You bring up points that we struggled with last league, may as well start talking about it. Not that the build was failing, it just got kind of boring never getting hit! LOL
I will say what I did, there were MANY other variants, ALL successful.
With this build you can charge in and lead the pack, monsters are soooo slow you will barely proc CWDT in the beginning.
OR I chose to remove the second CWDT, apply EE with Arc instead of ball lightning and use Flame dash instead of CWDT. That way I had an added bonus of catching monsters I missed with arc with flame dash. They both curse on hit.
I also swapped enhance for raise specter and used carnage and host apes to get power and frenzy charges on my zombies.
Arc will definitely shine now, it was great last league!
Zombies owned all in a 4 link so adding minion life shouldn't take away anything. And don't chase specters, you DO NOT NEED 4, 3 are very nice supports to the zombies.
Spreading EE with fire does nerf the skeletons, so flame dash is emergency use only or great for gap crossing :)
Alright, I'll say it... ZOMBIE ON!
EDIT: I also prefer Spirit offering for the raised energy shield for minions and added chaos damage, it is noticeable late game. Actually with the life nerfs, it may actually be needed. I can say I only lost zombies to hall of grandmasters... f that place! Uber Elder, I lost 1 specter in my 5 deaths but I got him! I will plug withering step swap for phase run, but I just prefer it now that I play on the Assassin/Ranger side of the tree.
Always good for smile :). "f that place!" Good ideas and thanks for the praise! I'm curious to see where you go this time around. Thanks again for the praise!

Ran this in 3.8 late league -- so much fun. Will be using as league start in 3.9 to see how things go (instead of an Uber-lab focused Jugg for Helm Enchants). Only things so far I utilize as opposed to guide are Dash and Convocation. Dash is self-explanatory, but the ability to draw all zombies to you via Convocation seems to be both defensive and offensive boons at the same time. We shall see what happens. I also will switch to Arc instead of BL.
I hope you enjoy it! I'll be doing levelling this build in league this league to see how the "new zombies" level. But I'll be levelling the bow build you referenced first as the Ballista Support changes the playstyle lots. It'll make aiming with your mouse irrelevant. The Ballista's will always drop around your character so it'll be VERY close to the Cursing CI build I have, just move and click (without aiming).
I did make one change to this build though, I removed Commander of Darkness and replaced it with Mistress of Sacrifice.
Let me know how things go!
I will :)
1 change in this build is simple. You didn't change gems and other things and that's cool.
Ballistas are nice like a totems (I think). The worse thing for me is that playstyle looks like "shot - move, shot - move, avoid, try not to be inside of enemies" and so on. For me looks like to many clicks per second (I have a problems with my fingers)
I also like cyclone and saw you have 1 build with that skill. Mby gonna try it out also.

This looks like a promising build. Will try it out as a starter for 3.9 since I can't play builds which rely on heavy skill/flask clicking at the moment due to an injured left hand.
Swapping Arc for BL and using Flame Dash in a ring sounds like good additions aswell. Will report how it goes and flows. =)
