if it was a problem with the devs and the game and servers and all that, then everyone would be experiencing the issue.

So some people have higher end computers. Then those high end computers become toasters because the devs keep pushing it. But when those computers become toasters, someone buys even higher end newer computers. So it's still not the devs fault, because some people don't have that problem. Until the devs push it even more...

It's a never ending cycle. All because the devs constantly push the limit.

*ANY* modern computer is blazing fast. There should never be a need to buy or upgrade a modern computer.

Ten years ago, devs made games that could run on computers from that time. They still can. But they don't. They don't do it by choice. It's 100% on the devs.

are you seriously suggesting that nobody else experiences the problem because they have a better computer. everyone keeps upgrading their computers and thus has better computer than you blah blah blah

now...we have no idea what you specs are but this type of logic is actually ridiculous, so i desperately hope you're just being a troll at this point.

any "modern" computer is blazing fast. there should never be a need to buy or upgrade a modern computer.....
this is what you say. but maybe you should look up the definition of modern. because over time something with no longer be modern and it will need to be upgraded.

also, you're kinda forgetting exactly what i said earlier. which is COMPUTER PARTS WEAR OUT.
doesn't matter if its a modern computer. anything that gets used will eventually wear out. so yes, things will always need to be upgraded. and depending on your usage, depending if you got a lemon part or not, maybe you need to upgrade or even just change something right now.

there are so many variables at play you cannot possibly say its the developers fault and keep a straight face.
maybe the only reason why your problem isn't and probably won't get fixed is because you keep denying there is a problem outside of "ze devs"
Because Internet occupied by non-IT ppl these days.
With water cooled gpu+cpu i dont have the oven problem.
Every single time a thread like this actually showing up performance issues happens the bs force assambles

fact: this happened https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2645473/page/1

fact #2: there's no positive news regarding the critical points there, blighted maps and minion performance is just discarded.

what about the rest? they announced a bunch of new things but no news regarding the massive damage control thread.

People around here need to stop blaming it on the users or their computer. This is the fault of the devs.

I don't over clock. I have a 60Hz frame rate on my monitor. I have my target rate in POE options set at 15.

I've been using computers for over 40 years. I've been playing games just as long. This is the devs. Not just GGG, but most modern devs. They keep pushing the limit. No matter how fast and modern a computer is, game devs will turn them into toasters. It's 100% on them, not the users or their computers.

If your not installing adequate cooling in your PC then sorry, it is your fault. Stock coolers by in large are a joke, even when not overclocking.

Stop blaming applications for system builds that can't even run at 100% load without blowing up.
I find this to be true. Over the last 2 years my pc runs hotter and hotter for each league in this game. Vsync set to 60. Gpu used to stay at 75C. Now it runs at 80+ for normal gameplay. In towns it just takes off towards 90C.

Older pc, Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz and 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670.

I suspect they add more and more lightning effects. Particles and such. Not possible to turn them off. This leagues "minigame" is especially bad for performance.

is this a bit of a joke or not. i can't tell.

the gtx 670 is literally over 7 years old at this point. i didn't even look into the cpu. you admit its an older pc, which is good! because no matter what, a pc with 7 year old components would never and should never be expected to run as well as it did on day one. so thats your first mistake.

next, the gtx 600 series has some temp issues anyway. and hell, the 670 is rated to 95c anyway.

see people that have these types of expectations just shouldn't even pc game. go buy a console. but then you'd probably complain about your 30 year old tube tv not giving you the best colours or contrast
The amount of children in here being offended by someone saying bad things about PoE's performance on a personal level, like OP be mad hating on the game or something.

OP obviously enjoys the game too and wants to play it better and so it doesn't fry his goddamn rig. Stop being so butthurt guys.

PoE is badly optimized when it comes to the CPU-eating-up-GPU-stuff part. Everyone knows it. Everyone feels it. Hell, even -you- know it and just won't say you know it to make yourself look extra crispy cool or something. :D

It fries the hell out of my setup too - sometimes to the point where I have to turn the game off for 25-30 seconds for the thing to cool off and then turn it on again. It's super demanding for the graphics it has and needs better optimization.

There, I said it. Don't burn me on a cross now lmao
