[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS
" 15 corpses, limited to 10 in a lvl 1 CWDT. Then i'll pass it, because i need convocation. Setting convocation in the spell cascade socket save me 2 sockets in my helm for Flesh&Stone and precision. Thanks. |
|
" Most likely that won't work, cos from experience we need the maximum number of corpses around. In fact, even 10 weren't enough. I had to throw in Unearth+GMP for another 5 corpses before I regularly had enough corpses around to sustain my ES recovery. Someone tell me if there's a better way! |

If someone has a minute, could you please check my char on POB please. I need advice on what gear to upgrade next.
1) I found a cheap 6L Infernal Mantle with the right colors. It gives 100% spell crit and 33% fire dmg, with the slight downside of 25% more spell damage taken. Is Offering chest super critical to the build or is this OK? 2) Aspect of the Spider is really expensive on jewelry now. How important is this + Fennerets? 3) Gryph -- just a thought. Since mana isn't really a problem once we have a few +% damage taken as mana gained enchants, the mana flask can be switched to a Surgeon's prefix for better uptime during long boss fights, especially without adds to refill? (Since our crit rate is pretty high at >50%, or 75% effective with Diamond on) Thank you! |

" You can craft it yourself on everything just need a free suffix. Look into beast crafting to understand how its done... Aspect items are expensive cause people dont know how to get them... My Amulett couple c and then I bought beast for 28c...easy Last edited by Obermaster10#4008 on Dec 26, 2019, 8:47:18 AM

" Ohhhhh thanks for that! But hmm, how do we leech HP then, if there is no more % fire damage leeched as life on amulet? |
|
" You can craft whatever amulet you want , if you want leech instead go for it as long as you have the free suffix for aspect on it. Keep in mind there's also leech on tree and you might get to cap without it on items eventually. |

" 1) If you are not using Leash of Oblation, mantle is fine for now. Just dont be shocked when you get ganked by spell damage. ;) 2) has been answered. Thank you Obermaster 3) I wouldn't even bother with a mana flask if you dont need it. I still have one bc I'm lazy and didn't feel like swapping to a new flask and I haven't been on in like...4 days (yay hospital) Surgeon's prefix is generally good though. 4) you can get life gained on hit by your spells. As a mod on rings. I have 483 life on block because if Leash+Offering Chest combo and leech from Atziri Flask. Hope this helps! |

Thanks for the quick reply Gryph!
1) How important is it to get Chest + Leash combination? 2) Or should I try to upgrade my necklace first? (+Spinnerets afterwards) Thank you! |
|
" 1) Not important for the build. It's mostly for fun tbh. Flesh offering make me run of mana so fast, I have to remove Flehs offering on bosses. Bone offering is nice defensive. 2)You don't need to upgrade your necklace, it can also be crafted on a ring : I think necklace + Spinnerets is bigger upgrade than Chest + Least combo. I got to t16 map without the armor/belt combo and without Aspect of the spider + Spinnerets and it was fine. |
|
" Leash+Chest combo is primarily for Bone Offering buff. Block is such a strong defensive mechanic that I have a hard time passing it up. Of course, I tend to prioritize good defense over DPS so....totally not needed for the build to work, but if you like feeling immortal it's nice. ;) And yes, I would prioritize a source of ES on hit over most everything else. Either a watchers eye or the Spinnerets + Aspect combo. |
