[3.20] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

I decided to do nothing else with the Ice character. So thank you to everyone whose posts I read. Without you players, poe is just a dead algorithm. gl
Retried this character since I had most of the required stuff hanging around (including a perfectly rolled Astramentis), and dropped a 6-socket Vaal Regalia that I managed to Alt-spam into a semi-decent ES item.

Even at lvl 83, with 7.5k ES + Flesh and Stone (for the blind), I was getting insta-gibed frequently on T14 maps when trying to approach packs to cyclone them down.

Is there anything wrong with my defenses? Or did the build become inviable in this patch for some reason?
Same over here man, got 9.5k+ ES and i get sometimes wonky-1shotted, even when i invested like over 20ex, my other general cry cyclone build has got way more better results and barely invested 5ex in it, idk man, unless u got crazy amounts of cash, this build isn't doing the job tbh

I can't call myself a PoE specialist, but I played a lot with this build (especially in this league). With an investment of 20 exes, this build is quiet farming T16 and stuff.
A cursory glance at the character - there are too many small omissions that can increase both dmg and survivability. Anointing on shoes, maximum % of int on staff, medium cluster, practically no int on the helmet. This is the most obvious.
Not a single (!!!) Gem with%. And why is there no spider aspect?

Hello fellows Ice Dancers this is a update of my progress this season https://pastebin.com/Fhcmb96y...currently trying to get a few more lvls to max my passive points. Please take a look and lmk if there is anything else I can do to increase my DPS output or overall improvement. Thank You

Alright, here is 3 simple things you can do to increase your Average Hit by about 92,000.

Number 1: Change the anoint on your boots to Mystic Talents. You have more than enough resists and you don't have any armor. The dodge might make you a little squishier though 10k dmg increase

Number 2: Harvest craft your helmet with Remove/Add Influence Modifier,It can only remove the #% increased Intelligence and Add it again, aiming for 10%. 5k damage increase

Number 3: Take your Witchfire Brew flask and put it in the Stash and literally use anything else. A small health potion that a new character gets unenchanted is actually more useful to your damage. 77k damage.

Im too tired to figure out exactly whats happening, but due to curse limit of 3 and trigger order, Despair is superseding your other curses turning off either Enfeeble, Frostbite, or Elemental Weakness. If it hits enfeeble its not terrible, but if it hits the other ones you are taking a massive DPS loss.

In all seriousness, if you are insisting on using the dodge build, leave Cloth and Chain on the boots, and use a Magic Chemist Stibnite Flask of Warding. This is still a huge dps gain.

Thanks a lot!

I replaced the flask and as you mentioned rem add influence would work on the helmet.
I'll grab a second set of boot and try running Mystic Talents. But, I don't see where you got Despair from? Could anyone point that out or comment on what he meant by but curse limit? I just cant find where the Despair is coming from?

The despair was coming from the Witchfire flask, Here is a link to the wiki: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Witchfire_Brew

The last line of the flask "Grants Level 21 Despair Curse Aura during Flask Effect"
I searched for 4b, 1r, 1g, 6 socket with 3b, 1r, 1g linked whispering ice. 39 results showed up but zero online. Smfh

Hi there, it is quite easy to craft yourself, just buy any staff you want with six sockets (or six-socket it yourself), then colour it with chromatics (or even better at crafting station), then close your eyes and slam fusings until desired result (hope for not 6-linking the staff) :)
If you are too unlucky, just contact me in-game, I might have one for you...
Cheers

Hi there, I have a question.
I have a free prefix spot on my amulet and I have crafted maximum energy shield there, because I was worried about ES before. Now I am at 15k ES and I do not care about it so much so I wanted to replace it with something more helpful towards damage. And that is where my question goes. Has anyone tried master craft 37-43% increased damage while leeching? It costs 1 ex and we should be leeching constantly (Light Eater passive), so we should benefit from it a lot, right?

According to PoB you would gain 2.3% damage and loose 260es. 40% roll and if you are leeching all the time. The reason why you are not leeching all the time is, that if you hit max es, all the leech resets. If you take damage, you won't have the old leech to kick in. Its all lost when you hit full es, and you have to regain the leech.

How much of the time you are actually leeching, I don't know. It could be near 99%. Or not.

Hi Cjin,
Thanks a lot for a very helpful reply. I guess it is not worth so much then even with a perfect roll...
