[3.20] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything
" Sort of, per the guide: "Wear Sibyl's Lament in the left ring slot and use Yugul as your minor Pantheon power." So you need to be able to slot in the extra ring without your resistances going low which can be rough depending on your gear |
|
" Get the %int rare belt, you won't regret it. The flexibility it lets you have with the rest of the build after having some resistance on the belt is super nice. You also gain a lot of damage. Personally the shock and ignite immunity being gone have never felt noticeable to me. If you are struggling in maps the es on hit watchers eye will be better. If you want more leech during bosses the %es recovery rate will be better. |

Heya
So, I've been playing this build for the past few days and I love the ideas behind it. I've been following the OPs PoB and such very closely, but I am curious about alternate builds people have come up with. This is 500+ page thread, so it'd be next to impossible to go through it in its entirety. Would it be possible for any veterans who've been playing this for a while now to link to some alternate variations with different tree setups or skills used? One thing I'm wondering (and am sure has probably been brought up) is about the possibility of using Blasphemy Support to gain a simple aura for our curses instead of relying on ball lightening (which feels finicky and relies on us getting hit to trigger). |
|
Besides the classic version of the tree i think the version i am using is probably the most viable option.
https://pastebin.com/a9YwxAAS I am also using what you where talking about, running frostbite/ele weakness as auras and skitterbots to immediately shock/double curse bosses as they exit dialogue. Scroll up to see my link to how effective it is at killing a9 sirus. As far as the tree this version will be running 3 large clusters but you won't want to test it out until probably at least level 97. |
|
Not a huge variation, but I'm using Hatred instead of Blood and Sand. Huge dps increase which can further be enhanced with a good watcher's eye.

Hello, I'm a relatively new player, this is my second league and the first build I've used to try and do maps and endgame. Been really enjoying it, but starting to feel like I hit and road block and am seeking advice on what to target/do next.
I'm at about 5k ES and 1437 INT The upgrades feel too out of reach currency wise for me at this point. I have a few exalts to work with, but no clue where they'd be best spent. Gear in spoiler:

Could/should you use Shav's for this build? Or is it just that some rares are stronger?

" I'm just starting to leveling the build myself, but what I did first, and what you can do next to help you out is, pick an annointment from page 1 (There's a spoiler dropdown for those) and annoint the Astramentis with the chosen annointment. If you didn't got the right oils, you can look at how much they cost and just get them. Edit: Copied from the guide; Things to get with the oils: Diamond Skin (Clear, Sepia, Teal): excellent for leveling. +12% all resists and +3% movement speed. Wisdom of the Glade (Clear, Clear, Amber): once your resists are good, here's a cheap +30 Int. Mystic Talents (Amber, Opalescent, Silver): next step up, some ES and damage on top of 30 Int. Tranquility (Azure, Golden, Golden): the ultimate upgrade, a MASSIVE damage buff plus a little more ES. Transfiguration of Soul adds 30% of your total Increased ES modifier as an extra Increased Damage modifier. For example, I currently have 74% Increased ES from the tree and 2371 Int. 10 Int = 2% Increased ES. Therefore, in total I have 74 + (2371 / 10 * 2) = 548% Increased ES modifier, and Tranquility gives me 548 * 0.3 = 164% Increased damage. " Switching gloves base will make your passives that convert mana to ES go a little further. Definitely do the recommended anoints, start with the ones easy to afford. Use some intrinsic catalysts, mainly on the amulet. Consider trading for one that already has 20% quality and also Tranquility, they go for roughly one exalt. That will save you the trouble of trading for the expensive oils. Try to craft the helmet recommended on page 1. A respectable base with an open suffix didn't cost me much. |
|
" Rares provide more int and more ES. Also, if you go Shav to skip on CI, then you need to gear for chaos resist I guess. Making it work would be complicated I think. |
