I'm gonna start this build today, really looking forward to it!
Reached lvl 90 on my fireball trickster and I'm currently just trying to fill in watchstones and get to lvl 92. Really looking forward to something more tanky! I've got a good currency base, 1ex + 108c, is there anything i should start looking at to buy while i level? I've been trying to keep up with this forum page, but it's been hard since I've not been playing the build. Anything to keep in mind before I start? Really love your guide, gonna do a read through again before I start, Have a nice day! PS: You got any good character names? I'm thinking something like JeanTannen (from the Gentleman Bastard Sequence), or something related to what I usually do: Mc(something)Jones. My first character I got to maps with was McBananaJones so I want to keep the trend going. |

" Almost all builds do. 3.9 has made chaos res more important so you might wanna grab some if you want to do Sirus. " There are a bunch of leveling uniques that can help with leveling everything. Tabula Rasa, Wanderlust, Praxis, Goldrim etc. Also check the wiki for unique leveling swords. " Kind of hard to answer that if PoB doesn't take it into account. I suppose you can try both and see what feels better. In theory I'm not a big fan of range/AoE since we're using close combat and its max damage range is exactly the size of the blood storms. Build is awesome Thanks for taking the time to put it together, only thing lacking on my part is dps in high level content. I am talking anything T16+ and Elder/Shaper. I am having issues finding replacement swords for my current setup. What stats other than %block are critical to the rare swords? I bought a few but they drop my dps alot when I equip them over what I currently use. Any tips would be appreciated Thanks in Advance. |

Hi, i agree that build is awesome and budget but i have same problem with low damage. Can't find better swords..any solutions to get some dps?

First of all NEVER buy anything without checking with PoB. NEVER! You can easily copy the item from search into PoB and check DPS, res or anything else. Don't waste your money based on guesses about what might work.
Probably the best thing you can do is to use a Rigwald's and a normal high pDPS sword. You need to anoint gemini on the amulet or get a corrupted with block chance. This will lower your block from ~71% to ~68% but Violent Retaliation will make up the difference quickly. 400+ pDPS swords are not expensive (3ex or so). Physical damage (increased and %), attack speed and, if you can get it, some crit is also nice. P.S. Also guys, get quality on your weapons. I can't believe I'm seing swords with 0%. You can get 20% more for FREE. You can even get 30%. I am not so sure if there are any 400 pdps swords on this server with block chance...I am searching almost all day any sword with 350 pdps and just one stat to have thats the block chance while dual wield and there is none..I crafted one few day ago with 415 pdps
And I would never sell it for 3 ex lol prolly not even 10 ex how hard is to make one. Like this cost me around 2k alterations..2 beast imprints,4 beast craft that I reroll base stats so something like divine. but that beast craft cost 5 chaos to get 9% on block and good enough dmg.And well 4 ex to finish the craft. Loving the build. Glad to finally be having fun playing melee again.
Here's where I'm at right now. I'm easily running T16s + Guardians. Damage is a little low, but I'm having zero issues clearing content. Here's my current list of priorities: 1) Shift around my resistances. Would like to move some resist off my rings and into my belt/helm so that I can have space for -mana and start running Pride. 2) My block is too high. I'm sitting at 80% in hideout. I'm thinking the best bang for my buck right now is to replace The Anvil. 3) Go after a 400dps sword to replace Scaeva and allocate Gemini to whatever new necklace I buy. 4) Optimize jewels, they kind of all over the place right now. Need to find %life + 2 damage mods. Thanks for the build and for making melee enjoyable again for me. | |

Yup, your plan sounds pretty good. You can also get resistance on a jewel but yeah, definitely need more on your helmet. You can get that increased phys + life easily with fossils. I made a few of those last league. Not sure if you can get high res to go with them though. Also most likely your new amulet will have some.

Sup bro! I'm doing this build and I'm loving it!
I did a reave zerker and had a blast, but I wanted something tankier and try out blocking build, leave marauder be for a bit you know? So I'm trying to adapt this build for Reave, I switched it from bladestorm to Vaal Reave and put Multistrike instead of Close Combat. PoB shows over 2.2M DPS, but I would like to know your thoughts on this setup. Small change, but you never know. Stay sane, Exile! |
