[3.14] Gannicus, God of the Arena – Deathless Uber Elder for Everyone

Here to say this is my second season with this build and its just an amazing well rounded build that delivers. 3rd day of the league and already 7/40. This build will easily take me to 36 (my planned stopping point). The trial master is hands down a great example of what this build can handle with ease.

My investment so far is about 110c, with the body armor being the majority of that. I will add on as I can afford it.

Nice to get a report from the league that the build is still working well. Guess I'll be trying the trial master thing in 3 months :P GL with the league.

No I don't! The gems are presented in the gem section and lifetap is there. The gear section is for gear and NOT gems.

I absolutely love the idea behind dual wielding and this build.

I tried to get it to work with flicker strike, it did decent enough, but bosses were basically a no go because trying to keep up frenzy charges on single target is no good.

Cyclone seemed to work alright enough, but am just so tired of using Cyclone at this point. :D

Just curious if you've explored any other melee skills to go with your build?

No, not really. BS seemed good when I was designing it and it proved it in practice. I see no point in trying to make this work as something else.
If you want to try a different skill then just choose something that has the same tags as BS. It'll mostly work, don't think it will be better though.

thanks for the build. Using it again this league and had a lot of fun last time!
Quick question: in the newest PoB link you have two of the awakened gems in yozr setup while this thread on page 1 under "gem links" still shows melee phys and ruthless as part of the 6-link.

Which setup would you recommend for 3.14?

Nothing has changed here. The first 5 are Bladestorm, Brutality, Close Combat, Melee Physical Damage, Fortify and then you choose to either go for Impale or Ruthless as the 6th.
Now when you have enough money later in the league using the 2 awakened gems is a damage boost. I explain the details for the awakened gems further down in the gem section.

I just want to thank you for this build. I started playing POE during the original beta, found it too clunky, and checked in every so often and wound up getting confused and discouraged. Huge arpg fan, and finally wanted sink my teeth into this game. Wanted to find a dual wield build to follow and I am so glad I found yours. This build is fun as hell and now I can finally dig deep into the endgame. I'm mowing through everything so far but there's a ton of headroom left to improve my gear, which actually makes the endgame worthwhile.

Are there any recommendations for skills to use while leveling? Not familiar with melee build leveling.

I used groundslam with dual wield but eh.. it was pain lol until I got bladestorm at 28, I think I made mistake using dual wield for leveling until that, I had better experience in earlier leagues using 2hander weapon instead, since it does so much more damage per hit

@beaster, glad you're enjoying the build. I agree, it's a lot of fun to play and you can go as far as you want into the endgame with it.

As for leveling, I leveled as BS like prismaa says. Can't remember what I used before I got BS but it doesn't matter. You can get to lvl 28 in a couple of hours or so. I think what matters most (more than the skill you use) is to have some currency to buy a couple of leveling uniques. That helps a lot.
