[3.8] Dominating Blow Staff Guardian [HC][SSF][League Start]

Have been running something alike:

Zombie, phantasm, meat shield, added fire (last link could vary)

This creates nice distractiin for more difficult mobs, with minion helmet, potentially churning out some damage too.

Dominating blow in boots with increased duration support mod.

Not as good damage as 6 link, but kerps the monster auras around longer as well as army.

Allows fitting other useful stuff to links or running with minion 1-hander and shield.

I am open for suggestions as well to improve. I took Words of Glory Warcry buff for speed for myself and minions. Both Enduring cry and Mind over matter.

Running Avian from Glove and that receive bonuses from Saqawal's Nest



Also using a Enmity Divine for the Harbinger Buff.


Going for Devouring for Mana Reservation and Eldritch Battery. This allows me to run Pride, Avian, Purity. I believe I have leftover mana to run another buff but have not decided.


Rest of the gear is life and resist

Hi there, this is the nicest looking 3.8 DB build I've seen from a casual browse of the Guardian forum.

Question though: Since Violent Dead is now difficult to get, is there a substitute jewel you could recommend or just a life/minion damage jewel to replace it?

Very Nice Build. Super defensive and decent clearing.

Lasted to 47 in SSF Blight Hardcore, Then died going back to complete a few missed trials and got lazy / over confident and died to a spinning wheel of death.... Sigh...

Had almost no problem destroying everything up to Kitava.

O Well looking forward to playing more at league end one my stuff moves to standard !..

So are you supposed to self cast vaal motlen shell? or can I use a cwdt?

Is this build sth. for the SSF Awakening Event coming tomorrow?

Any thoughts on this for 3.9?
