and an empower then run another aura.. would it be worth it? or are other rings better? I don't need the res so i wouldn't really be giving anything up aside from some str and life.

I'd rather go for minion movement, Chaos resistance or minion damage on a rare ring. We have the most impactfull auras in the endgame version of the build anyway.

What would you change? I'm at a point where I can do all endgame bosses but some attacks still oneshot me, minotaur charge or some Sirus attacks for example.
I think I could get better rings but all I see are 20 ex rings just slightly better

Sirus attacks should be dodged, however with the current memory leaks going on i feel like it can be rough if your minions are hit prior to the hit. As for things as Minotaur i'd recommend getting a vaal molten shell and use it well ^^
Soo guys, what would you reckon if we dropped lethal pride for a 320% increased minion damage elegant hubris? We should be able to keep the 1500 Strength up with the increased amount of strength we can get elsewhere. My quick math said around 50% more dps, which would in endgame terms put us back around 41m awakener dps. Seems pretty good to me?

How much life do you lost?I don't think build needs more damage tbh

You would lose quite abit depending on placement. However if we dropped some of the minion damage clusters we could easily gain alot of dps with the same amount of life. I'll definitely be looking more into it!

You can't use it for auras anyways. It consumes support gems, so you cannot consume additional auras. It also consumes upon reaching level 20, so you cannot consume Enlighten.

As others have said, you're best off running with skellies in there.

I don't want it to consume the aura? I put the aura in after it consume the support gems. I posted the support gems I wanted it to consume and it doesn't say at level 20, it says at max lvl. unless for some reason the wording is incorrect on the item? anyway it is just an idea

How useful is the minions deal additional dmg stat? Got a few abyssal jewels where I have it.

Adding it all up:
9-13 more chaos dmg
12-17 more physical dmg
3-22 more lightning dmg

If flat minion dmg is pretty good, I might switch from Chaos Golem to Carrion Golem then, not sure how impactful 4% phys dmg reduction is at this point.

Sadly flat damage isn't really something we want to scale on zombies. The carrion golem adds about 1-2% damage at endgame setup at best.

Darn that's pretty minor, out of curiosity why doesn't flat minion dmg scale, as there's a lot of +X% minion dmg stats from items and nodes?

Pride vs not Math. TLDR is pride is better.

So I got a question about the auras. Is pride really that strong early on compared to other combinations?

I've been running (this is based on my char which is about 550k DPS per zombie; includes impale DPS):

Flesh and Stone + Maim (+24%)
Dread Banner + Generosity (+23%)
Purity of Elements
Aspect of the Avian (+19%, but its only up half the time so closer to 10%)
Summon Carrion Golem + Feeding Frenzy (+17%; 2% from Golem and 15% from FF)

This is everything in the main build except Pride. The big advantage to this setup is it can be used without any reduced mana reservation or the enlighten gem (though without Saqawal's Nest you're left with only 2% mana). This means those 4 tree points can go towards the DPS nodes earlier on in the leveling process further reducing the relative value of Pride.

The above setup is technically one more gem than the guide but that's because I don't run VMS (plus a few other differences but not really relevant to the aura discussion). For same number of gems I'd probably drop generosity which is worth only about 6%.

It just seems like it's not worth the massive investment (both in gear and skill tree points) until you're well into end game gear/level. Granted I'm coming at this from the point of view that I'm never dropping Purity of Elements, makes gearing much easier plus the chaos resist Watcher's Eye is awesome.

The reason i prefer pride early on is cause it gives ~20% more damage and ~40% more damage after 4 seconds. it just gives more damage when you need it and decent damage all the time. At least this is my view of it. Hopefully you get my logic.
But does it really though, that's what I'm trying to get at. There's an opportunity cost associated with it and to me it feels too high. Lets see if I can't flesh out the math a bit (by using lesser gear/levels on the PoB pastebin). We start out at 1035k DPS

--- Lower Geared Pride setup

First let's assume level 97, and you don't want to lose any survivability nodes or Purity of Elements (perhaps that's the stickler is PoE, but let me continue). To me, the most logical points to leave for last is Fearsome Force as they're the least DPS contribution (not counting increased AoE area) at ~5%. Now at 985k DPS

To run all auras requires +1 Shaper's Touch (5ex), Enlighten 4 (7.4ex), 3x 1% reduced mana jewel corruption (??? can't figure out what to search these under).

If we take out the jewels (which I'm assuming are pretty expensive for 3 considering just the Efficient Training itself is running about 1ex right now) we can drop Dread Banner as the smallest loss (~16%). Now we're at 841k DPS.

If we then remove either Enlighten 4, we have to drop Flesh and Stone and bring back Dread Banner. This is actually technically higher DPS at 885k if you use Leap Slam for Maim. If you don't, this is 801k DPS. If we drop Shaper's Touch instead, the result is slightly lower at 800k but pretty marginal difference.

Adding in Carrion Golem in the extra gem slot just to be fair leaves us at 893k with Carrion Golem + Maim or alternatively
859k with Carrion Golem + Feeding Frenzy

Pride after 4 seconds brings these to 1041k with maim or 1002k with FF.

--- No Pride setup. Normal Shaper's Touch gloves.

Not going to run through each step on this one to simplify things.

Moved 3 points from Sovereignty to Fearsome Force
Carrion Golem + Feeding Frenzy
Flesh and Stone + Maim
Dread Banner

Results in 849k DPS. 898k if you add Generosity to DB (instead of say VMS).

So it is a bit better all considered. Though really only after the 4 second ramp-up so probably only noticeable on bosses.
