[3.11]QUEEN OF NECROMANCY - STRONGEST ZOMBIES EVER? 55M+ DPS 7K+ LIFE MAX BLOCK 90% CHAOS RES

I had a request to expound on how impale functions. Keep in mind Impale functions the same as everything else in the game; minions are only affected when specified by minion or ally. That means Impale Support socketed in the Zombie setup and Dread Banner are the only ways for Zombies to impale. We can’t do much with the support gem, but we can scale the banner with increased effect of non-curse auras. Increased effect can be obtained on the tree, through quality on the gem itself, and through Generosity Support. I think a couple uniques might do this too but nothing worth using.

Impale functions like this:

(1) Did physical damage hit? Yes, move to step 2. No, better luck next time.
- Accuracy will affect hit chance.
- DoT and reflected damage cannot hit

(2) Did impale hit? Yes, move to step 3. No, better luck next time.
- This is where #% chance to impale is rolled.

(3) Calculate 10% of the damage received by enemy. Store 5 impales on enemy.
- This is the damage actually taken out of the enemy’s hp after everything else has been calculated.

(3) I just checked the wiki and had this part wrong (assuming the wiki is right of course). Calculate 10% of your damage prior to mitigation and presumably increased damage taken. This will actually decrease the value of impale considerably for us (Edit: I think I was wrong there as well) Store 5 impales on enemy.

(4) The next 5 hits the enemy receives will discharge 1 impale.
- Impale is reflected physical damage (enemy’s mitigation and increased damage taken will decrease/increase impale further)
- Who hits the enemy does not matter. 1 hit can trigger multiple impales (if Zombie A and Zombie B each impale, Zombie C can trigger 2 impales).
- The actual damage impales does is the calculated 10% * #% increased impale effect.

Me again, apologies for continual posts asking for help.
If chaos is so much better than physical how is it all you high end guys are not using it? Is it simply delve depth?
I feel i am wasting 5 points in an attempt to get my ES up when i could be using them to get Fearsome Force node plus 5% more life.

Once again minion damage or minion speed on rings?

I am 65 and suck badly at using POB.
Thanks.

Well, as with every league most people stop playing within a month or so and will come back for 3.9. Of people who frequent these forums, Qlida and I are the only ones really left. Qlida is testing out impale, and I never went chaos, preferring the defensiveness of Shaper's Touch instead of the offensiveness of Triad Grip. With your setup you most definitely are wasting 5 points on ES. If going chaos, focus exclusively on life. All sources ES are a bonus, not a priority. If going physical, ST takes care of your ES scaling. I'd also go minion speed on rings. More damage isn't noticeable is most cases, but more speed always will be, especially since you sacrificed 18% anointing Ravenous Horde.

Hey mate! new to summoners in general so I didn't really know how your zombie dps scales to 1 million in POB. Followed your guide almost to a Tee and im only able to reach about half your dps per zombie and i"m struggling to get that 1.5k strength. If you have the time to check out my POB and advise me on what to change, that'd be great.

"Lethal pride
The lethal pride used in this build depends on its "seed". This means that we want to notice what number it has on it. We DO NOT know the 20% seed of 3.8 as of now. When you want to aquire this item, you should buy the cheapest one you can get your hands on and divine it until you reach the desired. (You can get the maximum amount of zombies with 15%). "

This is my first time messing with lethal pride, what is he talking about 20%?? What stat is he referring to with 15% to max zombies? What am i going for?

A big part is your zombies are only L28. The rest really is gear.

Timeless Jewels all produce random effects. Lethal Pride adds +2 strength on attribute nodes, +4 strength on other small passives, and a random mod to notable passives, Our goal is is for those notables to give as much strength as possible. BiS is when it adds 5% strength followed by +20 strength. Anything else defensive is also useful. All normal mods are retained when using Lethal Pride.

Really, just buy the cheapest one you can find, socket it in the jewel socket, and you’ll see. When you divine it the seed number will changes and give different results.
Any thoughts on Meat Shield over Minion life for the 4L: Spectre, Animate Guardian and Blood magic? How does the math play out?

Also, is there anything I need to watch out for while delving or anywhere else, with an Animate Guardian equipped with Kingmaker, Gruthkul's Pelt, Victario's Shoes, Southbound Gloves and rare helm?

Thanks!

I'm a bit confused regarding the difference between the POE Planner in the leveling guide and the final one listed at the top. There appear to be quite a few differences.

For example:

- Cruel Preparation isn't present in the final tree
- The path we take to get all the stuff on the left side of the tree is different

Also, what priority should I use to fill out the rest of the tree once I've got everything in the lvl 50-71 section?

Thanks! I love the build so far!

I’ve gone back and forth on that. Ultimately it depends on whether you want AG near you or near your minions. Minion Life is better overall defensively, but it doesn’t really matter unless your 800+ Delve. I’m also unsure if Meat Shield will affect the Chieftans’ charge generation. If you are deep delving, it’s recommended to not use your AG.

My AG has
- Kingmaker
- Saqawal’s Nest (for Attributes)
- Victario’s Shoes
- Meginord’s Vice
- Mask of the Tribunal (900 str, 100 int and dex)

The mask gives an aura
- 54% ES, armour, evasion
- 8% crit multi
- 4% cast speed

Follow the PoB link if you find any discrepancies. The one at the to is for physical, and there is a separate one under Chaos Shenanigans for chaos. If Cruel Preparations isn’t in the final tree, that would make sense why I keep seeing people without it. I’m using it and recommend you use it also. That’s 15% life, 5% all ele res, and 10 strength for 3 nodes.

Feel free to check out mine or Qlida’s tree for suggestions. If you look at mine, keep in mind that Righteous Decree is only taken for my Lethal Pride. My last 4 points will go toward Enduring Bond. Our trees are similar but slightly different...or at least they were last I checked.

After looking at both of your trees, I'm getting the feeling that you may have written the leveling guide section? :) Your tree is closer to the links there, while his is closer to the POB link for the completed build.

Differences:

qlida:
- Death Attunement
- Sovereignty
- +2 Endurance Charges
- Champion of the Cause
- Quick Recovery

jlh:
- Cruel Preparation
- Ravenous Horde
- Arcane Will
- Righteous Decree (for Lethal Pride)

I'm most curious to know why you skip Death Attunement? The extra zombie/spectre/skeleton seems powerful.
