Until I hear voice inflections, I assume everyone is male. I still fondly remember one particular friend who had the sexiest voice. We'd tease her about it here and there but for the most part she got the same or more respect as any of the guys, and probably a bit more so then her boyfriend now husband (well last I saw years ago).

I would bet that playing the cute female worked a lot better before voice coms became so common.

The whole gamer-virgin-chivalry thing doesn't come into play anymore. But back in early-mid 2000s, people were suckers for that kinda stuff. In 2019, nobody falls for that.
