At least Wilma's wasn't hit and we can still get vengeant somewhere. The faster ailment might be interesting for making things die faster in maps.

Overall, that is probably around 40% less single target damage? Maybe more with the loss of a support or drop vengeant. Should mostly only matter for bosses I think? Look forward to y'all's more detailed analysis!


Yea I was pobbing with new temp chains and Vengeant Nerf and 40% damage loss looks about right, from 24M to 14M. Im assuming bunch of that can also get offset by tattoos.

We can use flask suffix that grants life recovery to minions (thats also getting buffed) and use the new minion blessing. Free aura, lets go lmao

Ok so after some adjustments the build actually onyl lost 12% DPS LOL

I am preparing the build for tattoos so I switched to Supreme Ostentation, repathed a bit, grabbed the new minion divine blessing, adjusted pob for vengeant + temp chains nerf, replaced ammy with zerphis, changed annoint to whispers, ez game:

Alright so here is WIP version for next league

Only level 100 and lvl 90 (starter) trees are updated for now, will work on rest later.
I adjusted my PoB locally for lower effect temp chains so your numbers will be different most likely with unnerfed temp chains

I ended up cleaning up the PoB a bit and improving the clear speed even more plus had to actually find space for the guardian blessing, so the DPS dropped from 24M to 16M, which is 33% DPS loss. But that is with Zerphis, with current Eternal Struggle we are using the DPS jumps back to 20M which is only 16% DPS decrease. But I think I prefer Zerphis in standard build simply because of how powerful it is and how free it is with Supreme Ostentation that I want for Tattoos. Im assuing Tattoos are gonna add at least 10-15% damage, maybe 20% so the DPS should jump back up easily.

I also altered High Budget setup, with Vengeant being nerfed Stranglegasp is no longer good option for amulet so I put Eternal Struggle there. The Hgh Budget setup basically did not lost damage so with Tattoos it should be stronger than last league possibly.

But the biggest thing the build lost is alt qual Arctic Armour, which is sad but its probably fine.

And there is possibility to run Animated Guardian instead of Relic as well with the flask recovery flask mod for minions, which gives ~extra 15-20% damage too so its worth considering (AG setup would be Dying Breath, Leer cast and whatever else you want on top really).

Build updated for 3.22

14th August 2023
Trial of Ancestors League Update
- Removed Zerphi's Heart setup and renamed Strangegasp setup to High Budget setup
- Default version of the build now uses Zerphi's Heart
- Replaced Lethal Pride with Elegant Hubris with Supreme Ostentation as preparation for tattoos (we can potentionally grab 25 of them or so)
- Changed all trees by quite a lot, now we path to Panopticon as with Elegant Hubris there is very good spot for it
- Adjusted leveling Toxic Rain trees to also path to Panopticon so transition is smoother
- Replaced Anathema with rare ring and annointed Whispers of Doom instead of Vengeant Cascade
- Replaced last support link on SA with Returning Projectiles (currently not present in PoB so its just empty)
- Changed life flask suffix to Grants 200% of Life Recovery to Minions
- Added Guardian Blessing + Holy Relic + Malevolence setup (thanks to above change). Holy Relic can be potentionally replaced with Animated Guardian, needs some testing

Overall thoughts/summary:
- Default/mid budget version of the build lost around 29% DPS
- High Budget version of the build lost around 6% DPS
- We lost Anomalous Arctic Armour as defense (tried to fit it in again but its hard)
- We gained a lot of potential from around 25 spots for tattoos
- We gained a lot of clear speed on default setup thanks to Zerphi's Heart
- Progression/transition between Toxic Rain setup and SA starter setup got smoother
- We now need specific quiver base or projectile speed roll on quiver to get to 50%+ projectile speed as we no longer have 15% from Vengeant and 20% from Ballistics

So overall build DPS and defense got weaker, clear speed improved and its possible that the DPS will at minimum equalize/will be higher with Tattoos and Animated Guardian.
