Going by DPS alone can be deceptive. Experimenting with Molten strike I was doing over 6K dps, but my <4K dps cyclone attack still takes mofos down faster. Don't ask me about the theorycafting behind that, that shit makes my head spin; I'm an experiment and observe guy.

For a selfsustaining economy, swapping mana-leech out for bloodmagic did the trick, since I was already linking it to LGOH (as is wisest for fast hitters). If your attacks per second is too low for that to work, make faster spinning a priority.

Including Endu.Charge on MeleeStun really helps out with the tankyness. I can run LVL 70 maps and facetank the Blacksmith with less than 3K life yo!

So that's four gems already. Beyond that you need to do what gear facilitates and what suits your build best. Are you going the elemental way, full pys? Crit, or Resolute Technique? If you have enough attackspeed already maybe Faster Attacks isn't the most potent choice? Choose your supportgems accordingly. But whatever you do...

DON'T PUT CULLING STRIKE ON CYCLONE: THAT'S YOUR MAIN ATTACK FOO! The main attack is for working your enemy down to 10 percent a.s.a.p. Culling strike is for finishing that sucker off once you get him there. It's a frigging boss-finisher. So hook that puppy up to your Whirling blades, so you can stop bitching about how it's really only usefull as a movement skill. Thank you. No disrespect to the Leapslam lovers. Dig you guys. You remind me of the Hulk jumping around. Puts a smile on my face.

(SIDENOTE: Everybody talks about the implicit attackspeed and block bonus of dual wielding, but wouldn't there also be some advantage on the stun-front. Faster attacking means the chance to stun occurs more often no?)

p.s. I understand stun is a threshold thing, but damage dealt varies per hit, so there's a chance the threshold is crossed.

Absolutely loving Cyclone and Vaal Cyclone. Thank you to those who recommended this gem.
The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.
At the moment it seems that the skill is completely unplayable unless you get Soul Taker.

Why is this? Base mana cost is too high.

Without Blood magic I have mana cost of around 100mana per swing making that 200mana per second. Totally undoable non-int melee classes imo.

With Blood magic the cost doubles upto 400 life per second. Skill totally unplayable like this.


I have been playing with 4-5k life, 7-9% life leech and 6l.

Just my thoughts.

Completely unplayable because of the desync.

I died so often. It is really awful.

Please fix it.
Why is it I was 'cycloning' aka 'whirlwinding' in diablo 2 15 years ago with zero lag/desync but in poe I do 1 cyclone and the desync is outrageous.

Multistrike on Cyclone is bad idea, put Concentrated Effect (or Melee damage on full life if not blood magic).
this skill gem so bad too much desync.. honestly.............. why make a skill with desync

does the tool tip got fixed? for me it seems the tool tip is right while dual wielding as well as with a single weapon. Anyone knows?
insane in the membrane
I had some very strange experience with cyclone this week, Let me paint the picture for you.

I was lvl 76 in a 68 map with a full party, my hp was 4.7k my armour was at around 8k, my block was at 64 and my spell block was at 32. All the map and the maps before i had no real problems cycloning into packs of 10/20 blues, even going into reflect pac's i was fine.
Map is almost cleared and i cyclone into a small pack of white mobs, instantly i died. I did not resync to a different place or anything after i died. Everyone in the party was confused to how i died .. they slowly cleared the last 5-6 white mobs that had killed me. They were the only mobs left in the map, they had no reflect or nasty mods. I could have stood next to these mobs for about 2 min and not attacked and they prob wouldnt of been able to kill me.

I won't use this skill again in the future and personally think they should remove it from the game if its so buggy.
