How on earth do you survive Corrupted Blood without an immunity jewel?
I'm currently leveling through T13-14 maps with around 3k HP and survivability is honestly a lot better than I was expecting, since I evade/dodge near everything and leech heal off the occasional hit. However, I'd say 70% of my deaths are when I off-screen a Corrupted Blood pack or two. Then, I instantly get 15 stacks of bleeding which kills me in half a second before I cant react with a staunching flask. Honestly thinking it might be well worth spending a handful of ex on a bleed immunity life/cold damage abyss jewel. |

how much does herald of ice actually do dps wise? or is it purely for auto generation of power charges?

" So with the watcher's eye you get 1.8% base crit chance added to Herald of Ice which adds to the chain shatters (with all the generic crit multi the HoI can have about 400-500% crit multi too) Then you get the added damage, a level 21 HoI adds 40 to 61 added cold so the equivalent of a brilliant Searching eye jewel (works out about 300K extra deeps to Ice Shot), deals 337 to 505 base cold damage (so like 16K when critting) and the AoE with Curse on Hit is nice, especially with the chain causing explosions everywhere (check my clear speed video in the OP to see) Having perma power charge uptime is useful too for keeping crit at 100% I make odd builds and sometimes write guides.

" Well, by that logic it makes no sense to take Point Blank either. So instead of PB granting 50% more dmg, it would actually give 50% less damage during the later chains. Seeing as you've specced into PB and set Projectile Travel Distance to 10 in the PoB, the close range on Chin Sol would be in effect. However, this proj distance directly contradicts with setting the number of times the proj has chained to 5. So for the best single target dps you should take PB + Chin sol, set # previous chains to 0 and set distance to 10. For dps at range, take the mirror bow, set # chains to max, set distance to 70 (for the 30% more dmg from Far Shot) and spec out of PB. You can't have both be true at the same time. |
