I had a glance at your skill tree and noticed you are investing heavily into power charges which are worthless for a bane build since bane does not crit. Replace your two ascendancy points, your six passive points into power charges and instead take the three passive points into arcane expanse.

For three passive points only you can obtain the same area of effect and greater spell damage.

I change this build a LOT (over 200 Regrets and counting!)...

The one you saw came from an MBX vdeo - using Obliteration wand(s) with Herald of Ash (which fits into the Diadem as a 4th Aura)

Power Charges aren't just crit - that ascendancy grants 5% damage per charge and -crucially here - increased radius

Radius was crucial to getting the Herald explosions to chain with the Profane ones - hella fun for farming but it's not helping with higher-tier maps much so I've now swapped to a 'Diadem' focussed setup - tho I might have overdone it as a big hit will leave me without any 'mana' (ES) which would be BAD

This helmet really is just about the 4 auras tho - the heal is 'meh' but I'll try anything once...

Depends which auras you want - Flesh/Malev/Arctic go into ANY helmet (100% total)

If you want Discipline instead of Arctic/Flesh - that would require 'Charisma' (3 tree points)

I'm not saying it's a bad choice - 4 auras is nice to have - it just forces other compromises and I'm not sure about it yet...

Example

I use a Diadem+4 auras and 4.5K health - that means I need 2K ES to avoid a big hit wiping-out my ES (which is my only mana)

Mana regen isn't happening so I have to await ES regen - the Diadem gives a chance of that >IF< I use a skill but if I have no 'mana' I can't do that - not ideal!
Terrible guide, pathethic single target damage with bane. Devouring diadem setup Cast When Damage Taken – Unearth - Desecrate - Spell Cascade and other time Aspects/Arctic Armor/Clarity/Vaal Auras what is it? I should burn 1000 of chromatic orbs cuz u cannot decide which setup is viable for diadem? Not newbie friendly at all. Waste of time and currency.

Well i tried to help but it seems you don't have the capacity to read. Please, Please please, read the last two sentences in my reply. It states the passives to take to obtain the exactly same if not greater damage and area of effect.

My reading skills are fine - your social skills and manners are less great...

I explained why that build looked like it did - I'd trashed it before you even posted, so I couldnt' really do much with your suggestions

I am struggling at tier 13+ maps.

How do I transfer out of Diadem into a ES build? This build seems really hard to survive with

I struggled with an ES build before I went INTO a Diadem so it MIGHT not be the solution

What is killing you exactly - bosses, packs, afflictions??

With me I tended to die because I was 'stuck' - ground clutter or stuff you can't see (esp in the Delirium) - I've found having some way of triggering 'phasing' helps a LOT with that tho.

This is a mobile build - you cannot stand-still for longer than it takes to fire 1 ED and you need to know where you're going before you get there, looping around packs - circling to bring them together and generally not getting hit by ANYTHING...

I just came here to share with you some very quick, pointed observation about Bane Occultist introduced in this topic :)

So bascially this is actually my build right now:

+ waiting for lvl 2-4


Map clear: fast and fun
Surivality: great - I am about 6k life only + flesh offering + energy shield + mind over matter
Single target dmg: awful - absolutelyy awful... I even bought first awakened gem with level 21 and quality 23%(you cannot find even similar on poe.trade) and it boosted my average dmg only by... 5k!!!
Content viable: all expect uber elder, shaper etc.


Would I recommend this build for end game? - NO
The amount of investment, specific gameplay and limited selection of items excludes this build from total endgame.
This is the build you will get a cape. Nothing more

I will give you more information when I lvl up My Essence Drain to lvl 25. This is last hope for this build.(coruppted empower).

My crap gear does T16 maps with ease - PoB suggested over 1M dps from 2 casts which last 3-4 seconds - one of those has massive range and I can cast when moving so I keep that up constantly - it all adds-up...

Don't waste effort corrupting gems before you get a decent body armor - you want +3 or +4 gem corruptions (+2 Curse and +1/2 Socketed) but +1 would be a good start and costs very little...

I'd also throw the Enlighen out of the helm if you can get Charisma in the tree (3 points gives you a 4th Aura - even a Herald)
