Actually, a very good idea! It gives me around 1200 ES on my character, and you are right with the recovery. For the moment, I went with elegant hubris that gives me frenzy on hit and +37% chaos resistance. Since I have pledge + ~36s fortify, I think the character is already tanky enough, but it lacks a little bit on DPS side. Anyway, your idea is great and I will include it in the guide. Thanks!

I will update the guide later this week, once I find spare hour or two. For the moment you can use the tree for 3.7. The start is very similar, and then you need to decide whether you go wands (more mobile, more recovery, less eHP) or pledge (less mobile, less recovery, more eHP). You can also load my character "budowlaniec" into PoB - I have already tested it, and it plays really nicely with the recent buffs.

Thanks! As always, you are right - the jewels were wrong. After your post, I have switched vigil to the left side of the tree, and now I have very comfortable ~36s fortify.

Hey. If you want fortify, pledge is the only option. You need "vigilant strike" + "the vigil" jewel for 36s fortify. The jewel needs to be placed left to templar start. I tested it in the morning today, and 36s is plenty of time, so even though you need to land vigilant strike manually, it plays very smoothly. (No accuracy is needed BTW - vigilant strike always hits)

Why is the Pledge with so much mods on this paste bin?

I put mods on the pledge, as at the moment, the transfiguration of mind was not implemented. Moreover, the pledge always needs editing to emulate greater spell echo. I have put 92% more damage, as it is equivalent of greater spell echo for ball lightning when compared to wands calculations. The AoE is there to see how big is the last ball, i.e., how much screen you can cover.

Hello, I am playing this as a league starter in 3.8 right now.
I am not familiar with the game so I am feeling lost now.
I reached lvl 50 right now and I am not sure how to keep going and finish the story.
I got myself a tabula and I understand that gearing is about life/resistance while doing the story, but I have no idea what gem setup I should have that can help me get to mapping.

Can someone help me and tell me what kind of gem setup I should use for my tabula?

I am also feeling a bit squishy right now, what gems I should use for defensive setups?

If you have tabula you should not worry about the DPS anymore - nice! The gem setup is as for the void batteries except power charge on crit support, which you should substitute with added lightning damage. For leveling try storm brand on 4-link with onslaught and some damage support like added lightning damage, lightning penetration, innervation, etc. Just toss the brands and run, toss and run. You may also want to fit brand recall somewhere. For single target use ball lightning. Regarding the defenses, try steelskin. Depending on your playstyle - either CWDT or self-cast.

Hey - just a question -

Pledge of hands feels clunky to use compared to double rare wands. with the wands I get a lot more everything, tooltip is around 22k (5link). with pledge (5link) it drops to 14k (160% pledge) and casting with it feels super slow - it locks me in place forever and the balls are a lot more appart from each other compared to how they look - on top on each other - with the wands.

I'll keep trying but if you have feedback on using both setup... thanks !

Thank you for the guide, it's very thorough and I love the build.

Currently doing the Pledge version in 3.8. and I got some notes/questions that might be useful for others.

- Vessel of Vinktar? Seems like a no brainer for me so I might be missing something, but it should add a lot of damage and 20% lightning leech is a lot.

- I see that you've replaced Healthy Mind w Unnatural Instinct, is this a luxury upgrade or I should be pushing for that? Seems like you trade some damage for a LOT of mana?

- We have some nice options for annointing with oils. For now I've chosen Prodigal Perfection as I didn't path towards it and because it's cheap, but I'd be interested in your choices for this. (Arcane Capacitor and Counterweight are considerable, obviously Soul of Steel is good but also the most expensive.)
