How well does this perform/scale for poor players?

I consider myself already a poor player, you can check the "Gears and Items I'm using" section, which are basically mediocre items. And with these items I manged to clear all content of the game with ease (check the videos)

Ofc you'll lose some damage if you don't have a decent helm, or a 6-linked Carcass, but the defensive mechanics will remain fully functioned.
Thanks for the quick reply - I'll give the build a go then! Struggling to stick with one this league, nothing seems that fun that's making me want to push to endgame.

I have tens of chaos and that's about it, so see how we go
Hey there !
Currently playing your build, was playing a bit of my own Incinerate trickster build but felt like I was taking too much damage.
Your build feels better, but I have a question.
I see you have no Lightning and Cold damage added to your spells. Is there any reason for this ? Usually it's always cool to have Cold and Lightning to shock and Shatter on critical builds. That's why I'm asking :).

Thanks for posting this build !

Sure it would be nice to shock and chill/freeze, but these ailments need you to reach a damage "threshold" to successfully apply them on enemies.
As you can see most of our damage is fire, adding cold/lightning damage can maybe shock/freeze normal mobs but will have almost zero effect to big enemies (such as end-game bosses).

Edit: Since you avoid most of the damage, you don't really need to Shatter enemies with corpse effect (unless you enjoy the shattering sound) xD

Thanks for answering now I understand.

Btw I had another question, you say you literaly swim in traps in uber lab, but are you using something special to regen enough life for that ?

I want to try your build as my second character.

Just few questions though:

1. You have a skill tree for Bane for leveling, so are we gonna respec once we use Incinerate or just let it be? And is Bane the only leveling skill we will use until Incinerate?

2. Do you have a sort of step by step guide on which skill tree nodes we take while leveling?

3. Around what viable level are we gonna use Incinerate?

Thanks again! Cheers mate!

It is because of the ghost shroud's regen and damage mitigation.
Just to clarify, I still use Hybrid Flasks to save my ass, but that's more than enough since I just Flame Dash + Quicksilver through literally all traps non-stop (including the burning grounds).

The ascendancy Ghost Dance allows you to consume a stack of Ghost Shroud and regen a portion of ES when hit (based on evasion rate), this applies to traps as well, and that regen is applied BEFORE the damage. Plus, the extra damage reduction from Ghost Shroud also applies to traps, so the result is that you won't feel much damage when swimming through them.

Something else that helps is the MoM. After your ES is consumed, your life takes damage instead, and 30% of the damage goes to mana. Unlike your life, your mana regens very fast (your life regens rather fast as well if you use Stone Golem).

Edit: the reason why I'm able to ignore the burning traps is due to Patient Reaper's regen, there are always mobs in the burning path right? just kill em and you'll be invincible :)

1, You'll have to respec it, but it won't cost much, the respec points from quests should be enough (perhaps?). Bane is a strong skill, but only for leveling. Even a Chaos focused build wouldn't use Bane as its main damage dealer. In this build, yeah, you use Bane only for leveling until Incinerate.

2, Let's say, according to the tree in the post, the leveling order can be:
Method to the Madness > Growth and Decay > Acrobatics(don't need Phase Acrobatics yet)
> Hex Master > Atrophy > Quick Recovery > Whispers of the Doom > Corruption

3, Level is not that relevant, the best timing to use Incinerate is when you complete three Ascendancy Trials (like I said in the post).
But if you want to use it earlier, you can use it after you get the first ascendacy (Swift Killer), it would work just fine.
