For leveling, you don't need that much. I'm 77 and still running a 5L +2 bow gems bow. 6L or +3 would be killer, but it just makes an easy to play build even easier. :)

I've very rarely used unique bows for leveling. A few levels with a Quill Rain, but for the most part I upgrade the socket links as I'm able, and go from +1 bow gems to +2 bow gems to +3 on generic rares.

Not much to do here, to be honest. Your rain of arrows setup in the quiver would probably be better off as Frenzy. RoA is great for cursing larger groups, but you shouldn't need the curse on mobs anyway, just bosses, and the frenzy charges will give you a nice dps boost for those bosses.

Better bow. Check out the bow crafting section, it really does a good job of describing how to go about it. It's at the very end of post #1.

Empower level 3 is worthwhile IIRC, level 4 is absolutely worth it.

You could try to source gloves with a damage multiplier affix, and an amulet with +1 to dex gems, as long as it doesn't cripple your mana or resists.

Yeah i got frenzy in bag to swap when i need it for harder bosses i just like to map with rain of arrows in general.

crafted myself this one to get sustain during long bossights without adds and to use bloodrage. The additional attackspeed makes a sizable difference.

Before I was using this one, worked as well

This bow is much simpler to craft than the +3 VP bow we used to make, however its probably more tedious or difficult. Try to use an ilv 82 bow for tier 1 DOT multi. Chaos multi is a veiled craft, prefix. Attack speed as far as I remember is a suffix. So theoretically you could have both.

Because CA doesn't stack with itself and TR does.

You can have multiple TR pods on top of each other all doing damage while CA will do damage in specific area only for 1 copy of the ability (spamming it doesn't increase the damage).

Also TR slows mobs so they are more likely to stay in the dots while with CA you probably need some other source of slow to keep mobs from running out of it (aspect of the spider, temp chains, ensnaring arrow maybe?)

CA during levelling might feel stronger due to lack of attack speed TR needs to feel good.

Elder VP bows are legacy / standard only, afaik 3.9 removed the mod from the pool. It used to be quite good especially if you had good supports to spare (for example this build used damage on full life, but with no VP you'd probably skip that and use VP gem).

Hey guys this is my gear so far. Its a little off the guide because i am trying not to put too much into it. I got lucky on day 3 and found that bow lol. its really starving me for mana tho so i have had to use that mana flask. I have cleared up to t13 so far. Any thoughts on a cheap upgrade?

Your gloves are not giving you anything at all, I would switch them for some rares with life + res
