(3.14) Toxic Rain + Caustic Arrow | 5-10m Sirus DPS | Fast + Durable | 50c Budget/SSF Uber Elder

I know that this has been asked a few times before and I am sorry to repeat the question, but if I don't want to pursue any cluster setups at all, which tree should I be looking at going? There are a few trees without cluster gems, and they seem to differ from one another pretty heavily and im not sure which to go. Thanks for the guide and the amazing build!

I think that's the one from this topic you are looking for, check it out on the first page. I am following the pob from esoro right now which also has a no cluster version but I mostly read here for gear info. Probably doesn't really matter which one you do as long as you get a 21 TR gem and craft good bows. I just started mapping and slowly start to understand how this TR thing works.

Just a tip, you can alch your maps by using the garden. Just saw this on cutedogs youtube channel.

You are missing a lot of the survivability from the tree. Copy the one from the entry setup
I'm hoping someone can help me with two major questions. I'm about to hit the end of act 10 and I was wanting to do merc lab before finishing but I'm STRUGGLING. My ST damage just doesnt seem high enough and I'm not sure if its because my gearing is bad or if I'm doing something else wrong. I can one shot mob packs with CA but elites just take much longer and bosses are taking so darn long :(

Question 2 is probably linked to question 1--what stats should I be looking for on a bow? I understand what the end game options are but I'm struggling to figure out how to determine what incremental improvements there might be.

Any advice or suggestions would be welcome!!! I'm not sure how to link my gear, but my character are visible and I have only one this season :)

Use despair and wither totems vs elites/bosses if needed. Which gems are you using with CA?

For bow, most important are +2 to +3 to gems/bow gems/support gems. You can get +3 pretty easily with fossils. After that would be attack speed and damage over time/chaos damage over time multipliers.

You need a fast base of bow (thicket or similar) and getting +1 to socketed gems / +2 to bow gems or at least +1 to bow gems is recommended for levelling, you can spam roll them with garden options until you hit something of use. Other mods on bow you will not have while levelling. Your bow has 1.35 speed with crafted attack speed which is less than many bases provide without any craft.

You should also have despair (even unlinked with anything for self cast on bosses) and preferably wither totem setup 3 link can be enough for start, wither + spell totem + multiple totems. You can use garden options to add sockets, recolour them or link them, without spending any currency. Atm it's fairly common to get a 5-link or even a 6-link from them in comparison to traditional fusing spam that can take hundreds or thousands.

You should try to roll "enduring" prefix on a mana flask to ensure it doesn't cancel when you reach cap on mana (which will be very quickly due to how much reserved mana you'll have).

I'd also say pick any white quivers (esp. penetrating base) and amulets and spam garden mods either life or cold / fire / lightning (chance for resists), high probability that it will roll something better than you have atm.

Also clusters are mega nerfed, not sure if it's worth it spending so many points into them, can't see what is allocated due to limitations of the preview, but 11 pointer large + 3 points to pick socket could be sub optimal in comparison to just picking standard passives from the tree.

Oh, and importing your char says you're not lightning res capped, but if you didn't kill Kitava yet that might be not the case in game, so just pointing out to be sure.

Thanks for the in depth reply!!! For the resists, I'm currently capped but I havent killed Kitava yet (part of why I wanted to go hit Merc lab!) but I'm going to have to do a regear once I do so I've been holding out on making major changes. It sounds like my best options for changing things is 1. get a better bow with +1/2 to gems (other mods other than AS dont matter?), 2. get a despair/wither totem up ASAP--should these be linked or do they have to be separate?

For my cluster jewel, right now the only one I'm using is:
Small passives 12% chaos damage
Added Small Passive Skills also grant: +12 to Evasion,+2% to Fire Resistance
1 Added Passive Skill is Unholy Grace
1 Added Passive Skill is Unwaveringly Evil

I think I've invested 6 points total (not counting the socket), 4 in small nodes and 2 in the notables.

I THOUGHT it was pretty worth it since most of the rest of the tree is life and not dps, unless I've missed something?

Thanks for the reply!! You are right, I completely didn't think that I needed to set up despair/wither totem. I currently have nothing in my helm (cause I suck) so I can work to set something up there.

For the bow, it sounds like I messed up thinking that base % phys was important and instead should have focused on a fast innate speed + 1/2 bow gems instead. I will start looking around to see what I can find.

My CA is linked to void/arrow nova/vicious projectiles and my TR is linked to mirage, void, and vicious.

Yes, I don't think you can roll any dot multi mods on low lvl bows, so +2 to bow gems and attack speed are probably most realistic goals for now.

Despair doesn't need to be linked to anything, just put it on your bars and cast it on a boss.

Totem requires BRR for wither / spell totem / multiple totems linked. If you have 4th socket you can use faster casting if blue or increased duration if red (don't think there's a green support that would work). You can't have in that 4-link any other spell except wither linked to that totem or it will try to cast that spell from the totem, so no auras, golems, flame dash etc. in the 4th socket. Non-spells are fine like blink arrow to fill a spare socket.

Well if you think it's worth, sure, keep it, however getting more life is rarely a bad option, so that's something to consider for the future, if you go to maps and see you have too little life to comfortably survive you might need to spec more.

I kinda have to laugh. I've had this BBRR 4 link helm in my bank that I picked up pretty early and I couldn't for the life of me remember why I'd grabbed it or what I meant to put in it. Now I'm realizing it was because I was saving it for the totem and just never equiped it because I randomly got another helm with better resists.
