Melee Damage on Full Life

please rework this gem for 3.0 im tired of playing rt builds with half or more % elemental damage

Agreed, Melee on Full life really needs to be a life melee based gem but has basically no use for a life build. Instead it's seen on CI builds which is just sad to see.

Need more viable phys gem choices for life please.
So apparently Melee Damage on Full Life works while using Blood Rage now if you have the regen to sustain it. Bug or intended?
I'm fairly certain it is still not working, as intended.

Probably it is a tooltip display bug you are seeing.

I tested with zombie on merciless twilight strand with low damage.

With the gem i consistently kill it in 3 hits with RT and everything.
When i turn on blood rage it consistently takes 4 hits to kill

could be but there was a GGG screenshot of them confirming it now works.
I tested again and with second test it seems you do get damage bonus for full life :). Not sure if my first test was just variance, a mistake on my part, or if there was short period of time where it didn't work.
Support gem is now called Damage On Full Life but it scales only with the attack damage which is a little bit confusing.

I am kind of missing universal damage multiplier support which scales all damage. It would be nice if you would change Damage On Full Life to scale all damage or maybe introduce completely new support gem with appropriate drawback.
How DoFL iteracts with Blood Magic?

I mean I have full life at the moment when I start attack
Then I spend some life to use skill and have not full life
Then skill hits target
Then I recover to full life and start from the beginning.

Damage calculates at the moment when I hit target or when I use skill?

Damage of any skill that Hits is always calculated at the moment the Hit is made. So if you manage to recover enough life to bring you back to full between the time when you use the skill and spend life; and when the skill connects and Hits an enemy; you will get the DoFL bonus.

Note that just Life Gain on Hit is not enough by itself: you gain life from LGoH only after the Hit happens.
