10% is actually nothing, considering how poorly balanced the one shot mechanics are in this game right now. Furthermore, if you compare it to other defensive options, there is no reason to run it. It's a waste of resources. Also, it looks like i was wrong, quality has been changed to cast speed. So we are back down to less than 5%. Add in curse effectiveness to maybe hit 7-8%. A. Complete. Fucking. Joke.

Given that you are speaking of "one shot mechanics" in this game, you likely don't know how to build a proper character huh.

Whatever.

Any source on that quality thing change tho ?

One-shot mechanic at its finest.

Like seriously, IT THAT FLED one shot at t16 map and no control/restriction on the possible mod combination in delve already proves that ggg doesn't care. They balance their game on low tier contents like t16 or 0 mod uber elder. (easy boss)

SRS, to sustain 6-L 20 raging heads was mandatory to get 20clarity and bunch of mana regeneration and dmg of them is ok`ish at best in endgame and you increase mana coast by 30 % what ....why ..who when i dont understand.
I was planing to remember this skill and start league with it but its impossible after you get 6 link its unplayable... worst nerf ever

Was about to ask about this
Does any of devs ever played SRS?

Unless we pull some crazy gears damage won't be good enough. +3 fire staff with full auras/curses on victario

I was rather expecting rework here like it happened to blade vortex.
Increase damage, duration and halve maximum stacks

SRS is officially dead just like animate weapon

Nerfs, Nerfs and hey even more nerfs.I know you only care about 2% of your top players wich the nerfs are directed to but what about the rest of the 98% that fill your pockets? Aren't we the ones that keep your game alive? Aren't we the ones that feed your filthy mouths and childreds? Stop your retarted decisions based on your top players and streamers and listen to your player base.

THIS IS FOR ADMINS:

If you woult take a look at people that wrote this things , you would realize that (from theyr description) are the people with a lot of support titles... I think you realy have no intelligence (u should put some point in 30+ nodes) ...You realy can`t see how much money you gone loose? Players that yell yey, interesting, good work, etc HAVE NO SUPPORT TITLES.

FOR PLAYERS THAT ARE SORRY BECOUSE THEY INVEST MONEY :

I yell from the moment they reduce ES thatthey wont stop there. You didn`t listen. They will survive you say. I`m GLAD I stopped support then. YES, perhaps they will survive this too, but with a lot less money and this is the truth, even if some of you will critisise what I am saying (wait another few nerf....sorry leagues and will talk then)

I think in a world bloated with Skinner box/pay-to-win computer games you should be grateful for PoE and understand that rebalancing of OP skills is going to happen once in a while and decisions will be made about gameplay that you don't like but you should adapt and enjoy or move on.

In the bigger picture this is small potatoes. Look for deeper meaning in your life.
Seriously, why are you reshuffling the atlas again? It was 3 months, and you've done it again.

I get it, for players in Leagues, that means that mapping is New! and Different! Each and every time you play a new league.

I guess that's cool.

There are plenty of us that don't play leagues. And before the league players come in and say "LOL STANDARD", trust me, we have a nice community in Standard, when you guys move on to the next league. We play standard for our own reasons. You are now resetting us, again, and ruining map pools, again, with zero benefit to the standard player.

I play standard, because I don't play in a way that is going to allow me to hit shaper in a league's time frame. I had just built up a map pool that meant I was able to sustain 11/12 tier maps, for the most part, only having to dip back down to 10 on rare occasions. And then I felt a little burnt out on that grind, so I leveled up a ranger from 1, to try out an idea that I had. I'm sure I'll go back to playing my rauder, and pushing towards Shaper this weekend, after I have some time to blow off some steam. I wouldn't be able to do that in a league. I'd have to devote everything to 1 char, and 1 focused goal, starting over with nothing in my stash.

That's not my thing. If it's yours, cool. But it's not mine, and PoE "supports" this, by continuing to have a dedicated, standard league.

Now? All those maps that I have been stashing are, yet again, vendor fodder, at a 3:1 exchange rate, and all the unique maps are yet again reset. If, moving forward, Standard gets a soft reset at the end of every league, I'm just not sure how interested I'm going to be. I play standard because it allows me to play at my pace, playing things, and working on things at my pace. I don't play leagues specifically because of the lack of permanency, and the "gotta make it to the end in the 3 months race".

In the entirety of the game, since the introduction of maps, there have been shakeups that resulted in new series of maps 5 times (including this). Meaning there are 6 tiers of maps, for a game that I've been playing as part of the Open Beta (on and off) for 6 years.

Having 2 of those resets coming three months apart is just not cool.
Now also grants 50% reduced Maximum Recovery per Life Leech.

Can someone explain mechanics?
Any potential bugs?
Been playing around with the new passive tree and one thing stood out to me as pretty awkward.

The new connecting nodes in the shadow area kind of suck. As a caster you are taking an extra int node to get out of the starting shadow area since you have to exit east vs. north from Coldhearted. Likewise for Fangs.

Feel like instead of connecting east of Coldhearted/Fangs that keeping the old north and south. Maybe branching east off of Resourcefullness like the old Null node instead.

I really do not like that you guys are nerfing defensive curses and defensive aura's while not mentioning anywhere to nerf betrayal monsters... which even with the nerf they received during the league feel like they are 10-15 levels above the area level(especially in red maps). This is NOT ok! This is just making the game even more into a 1-shot hell.
Since if you'll be 1-shot anyways, you might as well just go with 1 hp max.

Also, I was hoping you guys would seperate damage per ability for self cast VS trigger/trap/totem/mine skills. Now some skills like ice nova(never used manually) received a very uncalled for nerf.

Other than that the patch notes sound good.

PS: For future patches new passive skill trees, could you guys please post the new tree on this website for players to look at? You already have a "passive tree" under the game button, just add a "Next patch passive tree" to it when there is one. Thanks!

Skills that overperforming for top players and not the player base. And they buffed what?Scarabs being cut in half or even more? I know your are a die hard fan but let it go with the the hard defense.

The nerfs don't break anything for the average player though. They didn't nerf any skill into the ground, just brought them more in line with each other. The average "98%" doesn't use scarabs effectively. These nerfs hurt the 2% not the average player. Since when did the average player care about gilded sulphite scarabs or pure breachstones?

I have to disagree.

The base damage nerf, some of them nerf as much as 25% DESTROYS the none top players. For top players who min-max, the effect of the nerf is minimized because they got all those base damage from elsewhere to scale back the overnerfed base damage. Simple as that.

Not only that, in 3.5 you can pretty much self craft a high tier weapon with only 3~7 ex that are as strong as people who spent 100 ex to ex slam / suffix prefix lock before 3.5. (Basically you only need to alt spam 1~2 good mods, regal and anul it and success once to get your good base and multicraft from there ) Now they gutted crafting hard, removing most of the useful options, as well as moving many crucial options to elder/shaper base , destroying the option of cheaper self craft alternative on normal players.

Top players will usually move to a different skill rather than spend hundreds of exalts to make a janky build work. A 25% nerf to BV or GC don't make the skills unusable. The only nerfs that I think gutted skills were the Armageddon Brand and SRS nerfs. Which are over the top for sure, but I'm not arguing that the patch is perfect, I'm arguing that the changes are mostly buff or warranted nerfs.

The changes to crafting are the fact that you can't put multiple damage conversion mods on one item and you can't put multiple "phys taken as x" mods on one items, you can't put multiple mana or quality mods on one item, plus 1 totems moving to shaper bases, and non-chaos as extra chaos nerf. All of these changes make sense and don't break any of the crafting methods you mentioned. Where did you get the idea that they're gutting crafting?

These crafting methods didn't even exist prior to last patch and people were killing uber elder on a budget even then. More important than easy access to power is game knowledge and the ability to figure out what's busted in a new league quickly. This league will have some bonkers crafting opportunities that I think will surpass even last league.
