Does Diablo 3 still have long haul elite fights like this?

Diablo 3 also makes you wait 500 hours to use a health potion again and doesn't have instant access to the town. The entire game is Diablo Cooldowns, it's not an ARPG

I do still love Linden...
If you keep standing there I am going to rob you. That fight is 6 levels at least over where the player should be and they KNOW it. You could have the same fight here, but if your underpowered you're just dead. I did a 50 death Kitava fight before I gave up. Just depends on how good the wall feels when you bang your head against it. That was a perfect example of how not to play D3. Not gonna beat a 15min timer that way! Just made it to maps? Buy an insane Vaal'd T16 and have at it, temporal chains, reflect and 300% increased monster damage, but you only get 6 tries here... you'll look just like that poor witch doctor. I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me. That is some cold blooded shit to say... Last edited by GrunkleBob#2230 on Jan 22, 2019, 4:21:19 PM

" Wait that is a 5 year-old video. No D3 is not like that anymore. They changed a lot of things in the game over that time. There are though some fights that do take a long time. I forget the tag name on the mod, gives it a like a ton of health. Folks try to move along if they come across them now. There are Greater Rifts in the game that take about 15minutes to finish them. If you are taking longer to do it then you are fighting higher then you should. If it takes you 5mins to clear then you need to move up in GR levels. The standard game highest difficulty is Torment 13. Which is about GR 60. This is where a lot of folks speed farm for certain items. |

" Wait he has 8220 Paragon levels. |

I mean it does if you're super under leveled, D3 is basically the opposite of PoE if you're under prepared things take forever to kill but you're still gonna be fine, instead of you just die if you're under prepared in PoE.

" I mean, it may be epic and all, but the fight looks just so damn boring to me... I'd rather fight one of the Grim Dawn ultra bosses, at least those have some interesting mechanics and FEEL epic. This just looked like a damage sponge to me. I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

" Tell me more I need a new game. But look at D3 and was like meh Git R Dun!

These days d3 still have some interesting fights if you are GR pushing and also depends on the nature of your build. Some stuff like dat barb is just key spamming pretty much and FCK said the boss becomes a damage sponge as there is nothing to dodge as a barb cuz you are tanky AF.
Anyway the 98% of the time in the game is not like dat. You basically run "speeds" which are 2-4 min GRs about 110 or so (at least in this patch) in a 4 man party with the same meta composition everytime for efficiency. T13 nephs rifts are a fucking joke these days and you should be 1 shotting everything without trouble. Same with bounties. The gameplay part imo, even with the cooldown thingie, is fine, at least better than holding shield charge and right click at the same time for an entire map. In d3 you usually use the entire skill bar. The combat is nice, most skills are well defined with nice animations (better than PoE). What's bad is the level/monsters consistency. Some rift floors and mob types are REALLY terrible, and not because it's mechanically challenging, but rather dogshit mechanics/balancing. Party play there can be fun, the sinergy between supports and dds is a lot better than running around as an aurabot doing nothing and following your deadeye carry who is 1 shotting everything. However getting a good party can be hard and is limited by your social skills to join a proper group. Playing solo in d3 is quite dumb unless you do the unofficial SSF with the excel leaderboards chart run by some streamer. Just like PoE you can set your goals and play as you like ignoring what others are doing and peer preasure. Just don't expect Blizzard supporting it with an ingame season mode. Even their public MM is still garbage and most people play private games through communities & clans.
