How important is staying at or under 3 attacks per second for DPS? My hideout cyclone is 0.16 seconds so I'd be at 6.25 attacks per second. This is my POB https://pastebin.com/JvTARBWd

Last league with the melee reworks cyclone got changed so that instead of hitting twice per attack it just hits once(plus all the other crazy changes to it). So the tooltip aps is accurate now, unlike before. So as long as you're over .165 attack time you're good assuming you haven't gotten any cooldown recovery yet. If you have 14%+ cdr then it goes down to .133 attack time I think. Keep in mind that you want to get as close to these attack times as possible without going under. Also, im sure theres some decent 3.7/3.8 guides along these lines if you want to see it in that format. If you want a very in-depth explaination there's this reddit post as well https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/ab2g9n/updated_cyclone_coc_discharge_proc_rate_now_with/

Thank you. This was very helpful I did not realize that Cyclone change it confused me a lot. My life leech feels very weak as well, is there something I'm missing? https://pastebin.com/2XDst9Hp

Until you're able to get an es on hit watchers eye your life leech is kinda just whatever you can get your hands on.

If you can afford a thief's torment then that could be a pretty decent bandaid fix until you can get a watcher's eye. A thief's torment will run you about 15c right now so it's not free but its a hell of a lot cheaper than the cheapest es on hit watcher's eye up right now, which is 3.5 ex.

Another option is a life on hit watchers eye, but I've never tried one of those so ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

Also how are the cyclone area changes this league? Still good?

With current economy I estimated something about 260c for full gear.

Pandemonius is more than Loreweave in term of build performance, so you need yet another 4ex to say fully geared.

Yeah I calculated with a rare Life, Resi and crit chance Amu.
Lets say the calculation is for "you can start playing this build with this investment" lol
Thanks for the build, actually didn't play cyclone in 3.7, and with that and the assassin rework, it actually feels a lot better than back in 3.5. And this time I could actually afford the es hit watchers, which I would put a lot higher on the list, because it made the most difference for me, it felt kind of squishy before. And actually it kind of affordable at the moment.

The thing is, if you're using the new Mistwalker ascendancy node (which I guess you are, the clear speed is great with it), you're most likely getting over the sweet spot most of the time (+20% attack speed when Elusive). I don't think you should worry too much about it for now, until you really want to optimize for end-game bossing.
It seems like the new node might be terrible for DPS then since it can put you over the ideal attack speed for triggering CoC?
