Summon Holy Relic
This is based off of Holy Relic of Conviction
I've been playing Summon holy relic of conviction in standard for a hot minute now. I have also been doing some testing with the skill doing many different kinds of mechanics with it, I.E Poison, flat dmg additive w/ adorned, % dmg additive w/ adorned, cold convert, pure phys and chaos convert. From my testing the NOVA that the relic casts when you hit an enemy w/ lancing steel of spraying to proc the relic does not count as a hit. The testing I did with poison was very strange, in some cases even with 100% chance to poison on hit the minion did not poison when the nova proc'd. Thus the nova is not considered a 'HIT'. I have had some cases where the poison would proc, but the way the support gems such as Sadism, Swift affliction, Unbound ailments etc. interact with Summon holy relic almost don't do anything. They don't give the minion more damage over time from the poison's the minions inflict. so your poison damage even with 1, 2, 3 or even 4 amanamu's gaze jewels (there is no limit to the jewel so in theory you are getting +6% damage over time per amanamu plus the 30% cap) the poison the minions inflict do not do more damage over time, even with the support gems. There were also some cases where on a poison setup the minion's were doing quite considerate amount of damage but I could not tell whether or not it was from the poison, I am in speculation that the poisons were there, but it was not doing the damage, the nova was. For anyone wondering about the RELIC not casting a nova on all the enemies you hit, on the WIKI it states "When the summoner hits an enemy with an attack, the Holy Relics trigger a physical damage nova around the nearest enemy." Thus you can no longer cross screen clear like in the beginning of 3.24, this wasn't the case prior to 3.24 patches as I was playing it then and was capable of cross screen clearing quite easily. Not not so much and if enemies pile up without your minions killing them, YES YOU WILL CRASH. doesn't happen often to me since my PC is beefy but if you don't have a beefy PC, you will indeed crash. I have also tested the different cooldown reduction from the quality of the gem, it mostly seems mandatory to get at least 80~120% CDR on the gem, levels almost don't seem to matter, but using a +2 dialla's with an empower get me to level 29 in a green socket and 32 in a red socket, not much of a difference besides 8% movespeed. So if there can be some clarification on: the NOVA is considered a HIT? Do support gems correctly interact with the Holy relic such as damage over time gems and ailment gems? Holy relic needs a physical tag. Holy relic needs AOE tag. There aren't many minion crit nodes on the tree, grand spectrum offer 10% inc crit multi, with a cap of 90% inc. What is Holy relic's base crit multi? 300%? What is Holy relic's base damage for the NOVA, this can help understand damage and damage scaling from flat and would also give use a tooltip. It is indeed a damage gem so if the base gem has life regen stats and scaling from levels the transfigured gem should have this as well. Hopefully we can get some answers :) | |
I am also noticing that in 3.25 the AOE NOVA is not actually AOE it's single target or the nova itself doesn't represent how large the nova actually is.
Doing the 3 boss crystal ore map, the bosses are sitting right inside eachother and somehow only 1 of the bosses are being hit by my holy relic's nova. Either it's single target, or the aoe itself does little to no damage. |
