Also to note, Path of Building shows that for our build, Shimmeron is more dps than Void Battery. Considering we can offset the negative of the wand pretty easily, and how cheaply you can acquire a Shimmeron instead of a Void Battery, it seems like a good choice.

I have yet to find any wand or 1hander that PoB reports having higher dps than Shimmeron when used with a shield. Consider that when you're planning your uniques to buy.

You're looking at crap rares then. A nice wand in the 7-10ex range is far superior to both shimmeron and void battery.

The part that is lacking tankiness is the physical reduction rather than elemental. Minotaur and Chimera were quite difficult due to the lacking phys reduction.

Anyone have any good ideas on how to boost physical damage mitigation in this build? Can we do anything better with our Ring, Amulet, Glove or Boots slot to assist

Probably physical to elemental damage taken conversion and swapping out a wand for a tanky shield. This will cost some DPS of course.

The absolute BEST rare I can find on poe.trade is a 13k (~8%) dps loss per totem instead of Shimmeron, against Shaper

Probably of benefit to find "Gain #XX% elemental damage as extra Chaos damage" for a DPS boost

Hey mate, nice build, have hit low 70's with it easily, just mows through every map i throw at it. I'm using a 6l soul mantle, with 2 shimmerons a sanctified mana pot is up for 14 seconds thanks to the lit degen so curses arent an issue. Question is, in a +1 soul mantle would faster casting or a l4 empower be better? A 21/x arc in soul mantle with +1 and empower becomes a 26 arc with 9 chains and more than 300 flat lit base damage better

I notice we're just 1 node away from the Purity of Flesh cluster, any reason we don't take it? Max life + chaos resist seems pretty good

IMO your clearspeed is fine with a 5L, let alone a 6L, so whatever makes your mapping faster rather than mob clearing, so I would probably run some faster casting until one arc totem is not enough to clear packs in one shot

So i updated a few items to try get more evasion with the amulet and flask i have 50% to evade. I also removed some dps on the tree and went for phase and acrobatics and have a dode flask as well. With this added defense i have been doing way better in delve 280 and still moving down. I have 6200 life with 2600 mana and i do plenty of dps to not worry about the added crit on the passive tree. Buffed i still around 50% to crit per totem. I suggest u guys try out acrobatics if u are dying a lot
