Why do people get vaccines? Don't they research the ingredients?
Yep XD I got a laugh out of it too.
" Thanks for the story. I'm a bit younger than you but not so much that I don't remember my parents' having an older friend in a wine and food (really wine and wine) group when I was very young who got around as best he could with crutches and calipers encasing both legs. As a kid that made quite an impression on me. He struggled to get around every day of his life, because of being sick with something that sounded like Polo. | |

" Meet the author of the site you list: Kelly Brogan, M.D. is a Manhattan-based holistic women’s health psychiatrist Let me know which psychiatrist you will choose when you have a ruptured spleen, an ectopic pregnancy, or spinal meningitis. Why bother using Narcan for someone overdosing when you can get a holistic psychiatrist on the phone? She misinterprets the studies she references. She doesn't have a clue what she is talking about. Even the leftists at South by Southwest were embarrassed by her AIDS denial garbage. https://www.poz.com/article/gwyneth-paltrow-sxsw-promoting-aids-denialist https://sciblogs.co.nz/diplomaticimmunity/2013/08/20/dr-kelly-brogen-and-the-case-of-the-misplaced-science/ https://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2014/04/02/i-do-not-think-that-study-shows-what-you-think-it-shows Kelly Brogan was stupid enough to make this statement: "Saying no to pharmaceuticals is an act of feminism" Here's a great example of how dumb and dangerous her thinking is - any midwife with a few years practice could tell her she is dreadfully wrong: http://www.skepticalob.com/2015/09/kelly-brogan-will-you-take-responsibility-if-a-baby-dies-because-of-your-misinformation.html PoE Origins - Piety's story http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2081910

Kelly Brogan is also a hypocrite:
"Kelly Brogan, M.D. claims aluminum is toxic to all life forms1 and falsely links it to a plethora of diseases. Brogan’s fear mongering re: aluminum includes steering patients away from life-saving vaccines that contain small amounts of the element. Via her online store, the doctor sells aluminum via a health supplement, in amounts that equal or exceed the aluminum found in the vaccines she wrongly vilifies. " While Brogan tirelessly campaigns against aluminum in vaccines, foods, and beauty products, ironically, she sells a health supplement that contains as much or more aluminum than is found in the safe, critical vaccines against which she fear mongers. Dr. Brogan peddles Real Salt, touted to contain more than sixty essential trace elements that promote health and well being.3 Unfortunately for the good doctor, one of those elements is aluminum https://badsciencedebunked.com/2017/12/18/kelly-brogan-md-a-salt-with-a-deadly-weapon-part-one/ PoE Origins - Piety's story http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2081910

"Welcome! I'm Jacqueline. Encourager of women, happy wife, mom, homeschooler, RN, gardener, blogger, bookworm, health nut, past Lyme and Lupus sufferer, and lover of goodness. I am here to serve with joy!"
Where does it say she's qualified in medicine? nowhere. Taking medical advice from someone that isn't a medical expert is beyond retarded. Second link, There's no correlation between taking a vaccine and ADEM disease. It's a grieving father that's trying to find something/someone to blame for the death of their child. " But there's thousands of people who do this, at least. I doubt all of them are just trying to find someone to blame. Designer of Unending Hunger and The Craving divination card.

In the grieving process? Actually, yes, everyone pretty much try to find something to project the blame no matter how absurd it is.

" Let's look at the author Jacqueline more closely. She claims to be an RN. Yet, in her legal disclaimer it states this: Medical Disclaimer: I am no longer a practicing medical professional, and I am not doctor. I am a mother. The key portion of her disclaimer is here:

Some of the links in posts and images are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, we receive an affiliate commission. She cites mathematician and statestician Angelika Kögel-Müller's (hereafter referred to as AKM) interpretation of a German study called KiGGs conducted by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) with 17,641 children. AKM states the study ran from 2003 - 2006. Not being a medical professional herself, AKM might not recognize that a study being done on the long term effects of a vaccine was what they call a longitudinal study. It needs a certain amount of time to be valid - and three years is certainly not enough time. AKM states: "So, since the spring of 2009, I have been busy with analyzing the data and have been continuously uncovering and publishing new findings. Those who know me are aware of my love for mathematics, numbers and logical correlations and that I welcome challenges of this kind. " Any decent mathematician knows that correlation is not causation. With a complex study (and AKM cited there were 1500 variables for each study participant

"At the study’s completion, there were about 1,500 individual results for each participant, resulting in a total of over 26 million data items."

Otherwise, correlating a high number with another high number could yield nonsense. The classic example used in statistics classes is a study showing that ice cream causes drowning. The study data shows that when ice cream sales go up, drownings typically go up. The hidden variable is that both Ice Cream and the amount of swimming increase with warmer weather. The increase in drownings is due to increased swimming, not increased ice cream sales. AMK's interpretation was criticized by the very institute she got the data from. As she states herself "After I published my findings in June 2009, I was sharply attacked by the Robert Koch-Institute. The RKI claimed that my interpretations were grossly flawed. It was alleged that my research methods were incorrect and that I was incompetent. " I don't read German and the online translation of her own link leaves out some chunks of what she says. A couple of points are readily clear. AMK accepts a P value of .05 or .01 as proof. .05 is a bare minimum P value and requires a truly random sample that is truly representative of a given study subject. The more variability in that study subject, the larger the sample size needs to be. The RKI study "weighted" their study because they did not have a truly random sample. AMK states she removed that weighting to get her desired results. A math professor would give her an F for submitting that kind of shoddy work. Her lack of medical understanding is clear in her "analysis". As an example that vaccines are worthless she cites the vast numbers of people who are not vaccinated against Tetanus and the lack of Tetanus deaths. She is clueless of why tetanus has become rare - a combination of public awareness (if you get a deep puncture wound - clean it and seek medical attention), vaccines and tetanus anti-toxins to treat it. Maybe she should take a look at the Tetanus case numbers in Uganda and ask why Tetanus in newborns and pregnant women was eliminated in 2011 (they were vaccinated), but they still had over 8,000 cases of tetanus in adults (they weren't vaccinated). https://blogs.cdc.gov/global/2018/04/24/tetanus-eliminating-the-forgotten-deadly-disease/ The CDC explains how Tetanus declined in the US:
Spoiler
Reported tetanus cases have declined more than 95%, and deaths from tetanus have declined more than 99% in the United States since 1947, when the disease became reportable nationally.
Since 1947, the number of tetanus cases reported each year, which already had decreased greatly since 1900, continued to decline (see figure below). This decline was in part because of continued use of tetanus antitoxin for wound management and introduction of tetanus vaccines in the 1930s and 1940s. Introduction of tetanus vaccines led to routinely vaccinating all children and the addition of tetanus boosters for adults. Sporadic cases of tetanus continue to occur in adults, especially in people who were not vaccinated in childhood or didn’t stay up to date on their 10-year booster shots. National surveillance for tetanus is monitored by the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System and conducted to monitor trends in incidence and identify populations at increased risk. Those are critical errors, just in the first couple of pages of her "analysis" If you want a real eye opener take a look at Germany's Pertussis numbers here: Full table here: Why such an increase from 0 cases year after year to thousands? 1990 to 2013 ZERO 2014 12,260 2015 9,000 2016 13,809 2017 16,183 It isn't purely immigration, as Germany has had influxes of citizens before: How many of those recent immigrants are from places that don't routinely vaccinate for Pertussis? If you are interested in some global stats for diseases to try and match up with vaccination rates, you can find them here: http://apps.who.int/immunization_monitoring/globalsummary/timeseries/tsincidencettetanus.html Vaccines work and they save countless lives and prevent many terrible illnesses. Be thankful you aren't old enough to have lived in an age before vaccines. " Your first link (the psychiatrist) would tell you you are wrong. Almost all people go through the grieving process, with varied amounts of time spent in each stage. If a person takes more than a few years to work through all seven stages, they should generally seek some counseling or help. The "blame" part is what medical professionals refer to as stage 3 of grief Stage 3 : ANGER & BARGAINING- Frustration gives way to anger, and you may lash out and lay unwarranted blame for the death on someone else. Please try to control this, as permanent damage to your relationships may result. This is a time for the release of bottled up emotion. Some people lose their spouses during stage 3, some people lose their religious faith, some lose their faith in modern medicine. Here is the 7 Stages of Grief model:
Spoiler
1 SHOCK & DENIAL- You will probably react to learning of the loss with numbed disbelief. You may deny the reality of the loss at some level, in order to avoid the pain. Shock provides emotional protection from being overwhelmed all at once. This may last for weeks. 2 PAIN & GUILT- As the shock wears off, it is replaced with the suffering of unbelievable pain. Although excruciating and almost unbearable, it is important that you experience the pain fully, and not hide it, avoid it or escape from it with alcohol or drugs. You may have guilty feelings or remorse over things you did or didn't do with your loved one. Life feels chaotic and scary during this phase. 3 ANGER & BARGAINING- Frustration gives way to anger, and you may lash out and lay unwarranted blame for the death on someone else. Please try to control this, as permanent damage to your relationships may result. This is a time for the release of bottled up emotion. You may rail against fate, questioning "Why me?" You may also try to bargain in vain with the powers that be for a way out of your despair ("I will never drink again if you just bring him back") 4 "DEPRESSION", REFLECTION, LONELINESS- Just when your friends may think you should be getting on with your life, a long period of sad reflection will likely overtake you. This is a normal stage of grief, so do not be "talked out of it" by well-meaning outsiders. Encouragement from others is not helpful to you during this stage of grieving. During this time, you finally realize the true magnitude of your loss, and it depresses you. You may isolate yourself on purpose, reflect on things you did with your lost one, and focus on memories of the past. You may sense feelings of emptiness or despair. 5 THE UPWARD TURN- As you start to adjust to life without your dear one, your life becomes a little calmer and more organized. Your physical symptoms lessen, and your "depression" begins to lift slightly. 6 RECONSTRUCTION & WORKING THROUGH- As you become more functional, your mind starts working again, and you will find yourself seeking realistic solutions to problems posed by life without your loved one. You will start to work on practical and financial problems and reconstructing yourself and your life without him or her. 7 ACCEPTANCE & HOPE- During this, the last of the seven stages in this grief model, you learn to accept and deal with the reality of your situation. Acceptance does not necessarily mean instant happiness. Given the pain and turmoil you have experienced, you can never return to the carefree, untroubled YOU that existed before this tragedy. But you will find a way forward. You will start to look forward and actually plan things for the future. Eventually, you will be able to think about your lost loved one without pain; sadness, yes, but the wrenching pain will be gone. You will once again anticipate some good times to come, and yes, even find joy again in the experience of living. You have made it through the 7 stages of grief.
