I am definitely not a crafting expert, but I am in the same boat. Scooped up a +1 chest with otherwise garbage stats. Maybe can craft prefix can't be changed and then annul off some suffix mods, then do a multimod. If someone else with more experience could chime in would be much appreciated. It would cost several EX to do if it is even possible, but for a mandatory chest item it would be worth it I think.

For EB/MOM build using Redemption Sentry I see you recommend LMP vs GMP for clearing. Is this correct. Browsing builds at POENinja, I have yet to see anyone using LMP. All of the ones that I presume are using RS spectres are using GMP. Just trying to make sure before I switch spectres and buy the 20/21 gems. Thank You!

edit: perhaps it is because there is no awakened version of LMP like there is for GMP?

But for poor folks like me regular LMP is better than regular GMP for RS using EB/MoM build?

GMP gives more projectiles for a big damage penalty. I don't think RS clear slower with LMP vs GMP though. Also, LMP has a small penalty, so killing bosses and hard rares is easier.


LMP, +2 projectiles, 6% less damage.
GMP, +4 projectiles, 26% less damage.


LMP with 4 or 5 spectres, each shoots 3 projectiles. Total is 12 or 15.
GMP with 4 or 5 spectres, each shoots 5 projectiles. Total is 20 or 25.


RS base damage is about 2000. LMP reduces it to 1880. GMP reduces it to 1480.

I wrote the base build for league start or SSF. So AG isn't really an option because it can be difficult to get the gear for it.

You can still use it, though. I would replace zombies because of the horrible noise they make.

Because +1 is drop only, there is no way to craft it. It is very expensive to metacraft because you have to gamble on annul or use 'prefixes cannot be changed' and scour. There are more complicated method like beastcraft splitting. Good bases are also expensive (int base with i80+).

I don't recommmend annul at all unless you can afford to make your 1ex body armour into vendor trash.

You can do very well with a body armour with only medium stats (eg 50 life). Just look for something with int or int hybrid base and one open prefix.

You know your right i was using zealotry on my Mindweaves and when i went to RS i forgot all about spell crit chance not flat CC so now i feel stupid!

I know some people like to change their gems when they log out so people copy the weird stuff.

I think there's something about using Atziri Promise with Avatar of Fire?

I would replace Zealotry with Haste every time and I always recommend Watcher's Eye with Haste/Phasing. I find that quartz flask is not 100% reliable.

As i can see you now use EB\MOM with RS and you use only AG and Stone Golem without Zombies and skellies. And you have only 4 spectres now. Is it ok in terms of mapping, bossing and survivability?
