I'm having the exact same problem with Sirus. My Slave Driver spectres are dying before I even get to him. Is there a better spectre to use for this fight cause that seemed to be the only option I could come up with was gonna get a few small upgrades and try again.

A slight helm upgrade that made today :) not superb, still and upgrade ;)

Tukohama's Vanguard. They drop totems. Slow for leveling but pretty good DPS.

My gear :

Just killed sirus with the wand+shield build. On 4 spectres and only thing I swapped out was Bone Offering for Spirit Offering to keep minions alive and Feeding Frenzy Supp for Concentrated Effects supp to get more boss dmg. Watched the fight to learn the mechanics first then spammed convocation in the fight to keep minions close and armageddon brand to trigger desecrate and spirit offering to keep them alive. Fucked up the fight a few times tho so only had 2 portals left but I believe it can be done deathless if you know what u are doing.

I tried him today and failed but it was less spectres' fault and more me lagging and being stupid and running into stuff.

I've noticed that Sirius gets affected by taunt which sort of breaks some of his mechanics, which makes way less deadly to you. Also Saffel's with +4 max res and near max spell block. And a bit rearranged tree for more spell block. Also elemental army into spectre setup for more survivability and slightly less damage. Meatsheild also for taunts and survivability. I failed him at level 5 awakening. It felt really doable.
