I don't see any BM linked anywhere. Checked both the gear in the post and the PoB.

And yeah, I assumed you put the Blind gem in there to increase the chances of Blinding or something. But I honestly wouldn't even use the gloves. Imho, no trigger type / on-hit of application is going to work well in clear just due to how fast things die - your biggest threat at these clear speeds are projectiles or spells that are sent out by already dead monsters. And against single targets, even a single abyss jewel with minion blind chance is probably going to keep it up with near 100% uptime just due to how many things are hitting one target.

If you really want Blind (that's effective whilst clearing), I'd say Flesh and Stone in Sand Stance is a good general recommendation instead of Skitterbots. Might even be able to fit both with enough reserve reductions and/or a reserve reduction helm enchant. Since we're crafting our helm from a rare with a very popular base atm, I'd imagine getting the enchant is very possible in trade league, but I didn't check the prices. Edit: I checked in PoB now and it's easily possible to fit in both by picking up the Sovereignty nodes and a mana reserve reduction for either Wrath, Skitterbots, or Flesh and Stone.


Dread Banner + Flesh and Stone were part of the PoH build during Legion and worked really well. I replaced them with Skitterbots since we don't need to worry about offscreen Maraketh or one-shot Karuis anymore. And the blind gem is actually a throwback to an much older version of the build that just had 4 spectres + 1 AG. I'm planning to drop it for the finalised v2.

Actually, there is an option to even dump Skitterbots because the main benefit is their shock aura, and 4s shock is craftable on rings (was part of the build in betrayal and synth league). You just have to stand nice and close to the boss.

You are completely right about BM. I have 3 necros - my main in league and 2 in standard (one PoH EB/MoM and one W&S v2). I was thinking about my main instead of the v2 test necro.

Carnage Chieftain needs Blood Magic to sustain frenzy charge generation.

The PoB pastebin for v2 is incorrect. It should have BM linked to RS in the helmet.

Blind in the gloves is a mistake. You can leave it out for now, or add your own customisation.



ps. W&S v2 actually uses the tree for PoH Life/VMS which appeared briefly and disappeared. I'll be re-adding PoH as a 'simple' upgrade choice for W&S v2!

It seems strange at first and the PoB numbers make it look kind of bad, but consider this: Greater Spell Echo + Spell Echo gives 3 repeats, each adding 35% more damage and 50% aoe. So the 3rd repeat is 105% more damage and 150% inc aoe.

So, if you use faster casting, you get to the 3rd repeat sooner, which reduces ttk.

Raise Spectre skill is used on a corpse on the ground. So you first get yourself to Act 5 Control Blocks. Then either use Desecrate Ground to create corpses or start killing mobs until you encounter Slave Driver. Then use corpse targeting bind (default is a?) and use Raise Spectre skill on that. Now you have Slave Driver spectre following you.

Whenever you log in, your spectres are immediately automatically summoned for you. This wasn't the case always and it indeed was cumbersome to fetch them every time you started playing.

Gameplay is just zooming around with your movement skill. In easy maps you can just walk/dash and Spectres kill everything. If maps are a bit harder, you want to cast Armageddon Brand at the screen edge so Spectres start to attack enemies sooner. Cast Convocation if you're surrounded by enemies and your minions are far away. Cast Deathmark (if you choose to use it) on bosses. Cast Bone Armour (if you choose to use it) whenever you take lots of damage.

None of your minions despawn when you die (unless they die too) but you have to recast zombies and AG after relogging/exiting the game.

Update to W&S v2 test build

Curse Gems group: removed conductivity and blind. added elemental weakness and enhance.
Support minion group: removed elemental army. added blood magic.
Reallocated 2 life passive from mara start -> mystic bulwark.
Changed ascendancy default to Mistress of Sacrifice
Changed Flesh Offering to Bone Offering

Notes:
Overall, slightly less hp but 75% attack block and 45% spell block. This is actually much better than v1 build with 50/40 dodge. It also opens the build to 'gain 5% life on block' shields for even more sustain.

Spectre DPS has dropped a fair amount in exchange for survivability. If you feel that you don't need to be so tanky, spec out of Mistress -> Plaguebringer and use Flesh Offering instead of Bone.

The blood magic and raise spectre in the helmet is for using Carnage Chieftain as the 5th spectre. blood magic is needed to maintain frenzy charge generation.

Blind in the curse group earlier was an error. I've removed Blind and Conductivity because Elemental Weakness + Enhance reaches -50% elemental resists. Also because it's not limited to one element, the build now allows for easier spectre swapping.


I'm planning to finalise the new build this weekend with the goal of completely replacing the existing build.

Also, you might have noticed that the tree is very similar to the Pledge of Hands Life/VMS build that appeared briefly and disppeared. That means PoH will also be re-added as a build 'sidegrade' (simple weapon replacement) since the two trees are the same now.

If possible, I want to see if the PoB EB/MoM build can take advantage of the new tree, as well.

Got it, so basically you bind one big spectre and that's semi-permanent (assuming you don't rebind). I see on the wiki that the Slave Driver has levels... does the spectre level with you?
