SO I got a full set for the pledge of hands version of the build. Should I level using the pledge of hands PoB or is it still recommended to follow the regular leveling side and then drop a ton of regrets once I can equip the gear?

levelling is so easy with a 4l spectre in a wraithlord that you can probably do it however you like.

pre-spectres just use the holy flame totem and skeles with infernal legion. everything pretty much just gets one shot, you barely need to use the totem. just drop the skeles and move

I can confirm BruceGi has no idea what he's talking about. He most likely overleveled his Steelskin so it no longer triggers. It's an easy mistake to make.

Just make sure the level required on Steelskin (or IC or MS etc) is less than or equal to CWDT.



You can confirm it for yourself with a level 1 cwdt + level 1 steel skin.

That's a good question. If you have the full set for the Pledge build, skip going to the right completely. You might struggle with dex, so just make sure any gear you get has it so you can level your gems without problems.

You can push for 6 if you stay with the wand & shield and put Empower 4 into the 6L.

That's an interesting idea.

To be honest, I have no real idea how EVF works. They supposedly have the old version of EH, so it should just be extra elemental damage on top of the physical.


But if you give them brutality, they do no damage.

But then in PoB, they have a base physical damage which you can then supposedly play around with with things like Grip of the Council and Added Fire. So it would seem that they do phys -> ele conversion instead.

If you did test your theory with full cold conversion, they should be freezing/shattering with every hit. I'll be interested in seeing your results if you go ahead with the test!

A lv14 CWDT is enough to work with a lv18 steelskin, or is there some other reason for 15/18?

Thank you for the quick reply! Another possibly silly question but since the PoB and the example gear you give in the post differ, should I focus on the PoB or the post? Mainly when it comes to amulet and vis mortis links.

Also, with a 5L pledge, which link would you drop?

I think there is an easy way to check if your CWDT setup is working.
If CWDT supports steelskin you see a little red exclamation mark on the icon of steelskin and if you mouse over it the tooltip says something like "100% chance to trigger this spell when you take a total of 2184 Damage"

If you switch out CWDT for one that is not in the level range - for example lvl1 in our case - you wont see the red exclamation mark an the message in the tooltip.
