I found a19% quality Vaal Skelly gem at some point, so was like why not use it. I mostly use it as an extra barrier between me and bosses and it does help with blight maps imo.

I don't have it linked to anything really tough, probably have to look into that at some point.

Why go to the acrobatic side in the skill tree? is it really worth it?

Well, we can probably assume that the idea was to get these advantages:
1) a lot of dexterity, because summoners lack it
2) Huge evasion bonus, because default summoner with Vis Mortis and Ulr boots has really low amount of armor/evasion from items
3) Very juicy +20% life from Hebalism

So investing these nodes you became very tanky, which is great, as being glass cannon was big issue for summoners all along.

But, in 3.8 we had a lot of game-breaking changes.

For example you don't need Vis Mortis anymore, instead you can wear some crazy body with 1500+ armor. Plus have Bone Barrier.

So our view on tanky summoner now can be very different, just not many people gathered enough experience I guess.

I would not reccomend pathing to phase acro as a summoner for any newer players who are curious, extremely inefficient as a summoner and the extra deffence isnt neccesary

Having steel skin and bone barrier benefits us right? The guide recommended taking both but I see some people take one or the other.

Why is it so important to get phase Acrobatics? Isnt worth it to get that minion damage circle in the upper left corner instead?

Phase Acro + Quartz Flask gives you 50% attack dodge and 40% spell dodge. It was the answer to surviving deep delve (600+) in 3.4, and it carried over into general gameplay well, so I made it the default build in 3.5. It's especially useful against many incoming hits that would chip away at your health. I find this is the usual situation people find themselves in during late levelling and early mapping.

As the league progresses, many people like Phase Acro + Evasion and keep with the league starter's defense. Other people switch to a build with more life and no Phase Acro. The 'endgame' version of the build is a MoM/ES build that is extremely costly. Most of the demonstration videos are done with that build.

With regards to the minion damage, I focus on Slave Drivers for this build. Because their base damage extremely high, it gives more options to the player to customise. Weaker spectres tend to require more investment in damage to the detriment of defence.

Guys what would be an optimal gems setup for running red mapa with goatman fire risers?Feeding Frenzy Support must be in this setup because they actually attack monsters when its equipped.

Not really. It's a 50% chance and once it procs, it's 'on' and last for 30s. There's a high chance with your team of minions, that one of them will proc Soul Eater.
