That's a very impressive investment. My pure spectre character is maybe 20-40 ex worth and sirus felt really easy to kill and apart from random ultimatum one shots in T14+ I haven't died a whole lot. Can recommend that build version.
Yeah, I was thinking about trying out other builds from this thread, seeing that gear and tree were mostly similar. Probably will try the one using shield first.
What is the best way of upgrading a +2 minion wand to one that can trigger socketed spells? I have a +1 that I managed to get it on by annul and pray, but the +2 ones are very expensive to craft/buy and buying one with the trigger modifier seems rare. maybe the "Allows up to 3 crafted modifiers"?
Kay has a crafting guide for the +2 wand. You just have to pray to have an open suffix or annul pray if you have gigantic balls. Getting a +2 wand that has an open prefix and 2 open suffixes would be ideal for the multimod so you can craft 50% minion damage (which would be much more expensive to have as a natural prefix) and trigger.
Honestly getting a +1 wand with good damage + trigger is way easier and cheaper than going for +2. You can buy a +1 wand with 50% minion damage and 10%+ attack speed for around 3-5ex usually. A +2 wand that would beat that in damage usually costs well over 10ex.

How is this build feeling on the defensive side? Played some Baron/zombie builds in the past and had a blast on minion builds. Im playing burning arrow elementalist right now and asking myself if its maybe benefical to swap to pure specters. My damage/mapclear is awesome but i feel a bit squishy sometimes and remember i didt have these kind of problems with a minion build. What are your opinions?

If you think your dps is low because of your pob, the pob you linked has the wrong configuration. With the right configuration it shows you have 211k dps compared to Kay's 264k. With maxed awakened gems and making your vaal haste lvl 20 instead of 14 will get your dps to 261k.
You could also quite easily get a better wand. A +1 wand with 50%+ minion damage and 15%+ attack speed with a trigger is not super expensive. If you want a +2 wand with good dps now that gets really expensive real quick.
hey, I'm proud to come back as a pure spectre summoner after playing attack builds in 3.13.
This is my SLAVE DRIVER with a decent investment, lowlife aura support Guardian setup, the good ole shavronne's one: 12 million shaper DPS with flasks on and AG
after the 3.13 changes i thought id never get to +10million dps with spectres without going stupid building like 3k hp or umbilicus niche/aura stacking
this build is around 30 ex, the helmet being the most expensive, you know, pesudo 7link

Also im a guardian, i care not for 40k life minion, but if u're a witch and they die, just swap elemental army for empower, giving him +10k life love and losing 15% dmg only
I also very love SL and try leveling my 1st guardian ( only play necro before) but never think of combine these 2.

Any way to upgrade further from pure spectres after you've done everything?
Next step is changing spectres to 7L helmet (15ex) -> 8L helmet/9L (130ex, 1 mirror).
DPS for SO dagger: 310k -> 420k -> 548k
I did a POB experiment with these helmets (Why are they called 7/8 L btw? It seems rather 6/7 to me, unless +1 to socketed gems counts as a pseudo-link..
However, I do not get anywhere near these damage boosts. The replacement of Vaal Haste with Bonechill really hurts the damage.

So I must be missing something crucial in the POB experiment. I did not change the skill tree from the original POB. Until I figure out what that is, I see no need to try a 6-L helmet, which I can afford at the moment.
Do not worry, exiles, I do not expect anyone to look into these, but I will keep searching for what I am missing the POB experiment.
So the only upgrades I may decide to get are more life on rings, shield, boots, amulet, and finetune jewels with slightly more damage. There is no reason to end the league with any currency left, and currency is coming in fast when running juiced T16 maps, which this build melts.
If you figure it out, please post. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm always told to go for the helmet upgrade, but when put in POB, it doesn't seem worth it. I just thought I was doing something wrong, but I don't want to dump money into something that isn't an upgrade.
