You understood correctly. The "vengeful" tag is a random tag when they are magic, like a magic item. When you raise the corpse for a spectre, it's just the base creature.

First of thanks for the guide, very detail and easy to follow.

I'm trying to decide on what build version to go with.. I have tried a zombie/spider build in the past that used a writhing jar for summoning and it was a little awkward. I saw you summon differently and i liked it.

Bomber seems also nice so i can't really decide.

I don't have that much time to play and when i do, i usually watch some anime on the side.
Which one of the 3 vers do you think it's better for me?

I will most likely not reach end content with this build but i will probably take it slowly to end game in standard, so i'm looking for a long time investment of currency to make it great, with no rush. My goal is to experience all content, bosses, HOG and even Maven if it becomes core or if i reach her this league (who knows).

Also, i read that there was a recent nerf to spider duration of 20%. Specters/spiders still ok?

It's more than ok. Spiders didn't get hit by this league's nerf bat the way spectres did.

There are two ways to get spiders. When starting a map, wander over to a pack of mobs, wait until the spectres get them to 0 health, and then do whatever damage skill you have to kill them. Kay uses a Brand; I use Shield Charge. It may take a pack or two, but eventually 20 spiders will start zipping around clearing everything.

You cannot do this for end game bosses like Sirus who are in an arena you zone into who have no trash mobs. Instead, you must either swap out the Fang for a different weapon or use the Writhing Jar as follows:
1. Cast desecrate a few times. Spiders need corpses or they won't appear
2. Channel divine ire to 20 stacks
3. Drink from the Jar
This should give you 16-20 spiders. I also recommend swapping the melee splash gem for multistrike.

Ah ok, so it's back to desecrate + kill skill + jar move for some bosses.

It's weird because Kay does not mention a writhing jar in her build guide for spider variant. How are you supposed to do Sirius then on that setup?
Maybe I have not read the guide carefully.

Then minion bomber SRS is the superior build i guess?

Hi Kay! Playing your SRS bomber build, and I upgraded my boots to ones with +2 gems so I was able to get an extra spectre, which I chose They of Tul. They of Tul aura + Undying Evangelist bubble is soooo nice! :)

Great build but how do you obtain endurance charges with the spectres+spiders variant? I must be missing somehting here.
