Since we're using the cannibal fire eaters for all of the story, when do you decide is a good time to switch to SD/RS?

Hi, I've been using this build for league start and its been amazing so far!
Do you have an ETA for when the pure spectre build will come out? Would love to know how to transition, thank you!

Hit maps after levelling with this and I feel like i'm missing something fundamental - because this is currently the weakest build i've played in a very long time. I'm just not sure what I'm missing for why my damage/clear is so bad and how to improve that.

Running with 3x Solar Guard atm. 3x Slave Driver doesn't seem much better - trying it now.

At the beginning of mapping, your zombies will be doing most of the damage/clear. Your slave drivers (or other spectres) will need higher gem levels before they start getting better. Also, you should be using Wrath (if using slave drivers) and zealotry, and skitterbots. You can do all 3 if you are using devouring diadem, otherwise if you can't use all 3, then drop zealotry.

Yeah, there aren't any diadems for sale on harvest yet that I can see.

The zombies are of course there, but it's just... not good.

I'm running zealotry + skitter atm.

I understand that the gems are still levelling up, but it's level 17 (base on the game) so only 3 more levels to go on the gem itself and it's scuffed as hell in like tier 1-3 maps.

I feel like there's something else I'm missing in terms of how the damage is meant to be scaled or something like that - having not played a summoner build before.

Because this is just far worse than any other build I've played and it's probably because of a mistake on my part.

Zombie + Ele army + feeding frenzy + summon stone golem is my current links for them.

I'm following the level tree section.
I'm now at the end of act 3 and I can use spectres now:

"4. Raise Spectre + Minion Damage + Elemental Focus + Deathmark (BBBB)"

but what spectres should I use?

Spec Elemental Equilibrium and use a counter match type element brand to proc it. Jobs done.

Hit the maps just now. Builds is fine like leagues ago. SD really are not anymore those OMFG spectres but do the job.
About the leveling, fire-eaters 4l / holy flame totem 3l / zombies + srs 4l / Skitterbots 3l did all the storyline easy.

the ledge: use desecrate to create corpses. look for 'cannibal fire-eater'. raise two spectres. go: lunaris temple.
