[3.4] Teleports Behind You - Poet's Pen Lightning Warp & Arc, MF / Facetank t16 / Shaper / U. Elder

Okay, i've finally hit lv 80 so my gear is pretty much sorted, still missing some jewel slots so there's room to improve but can you check my char and see if i'm missing anything else noticeable?
Wondering about crit %, ive taken all the chance increase ones from the tree you have but only go up to 22%, is that normal?

Really loving the build tho, i was able to clear T15 map quite easily, i die at bosses occasionally but i think that could have been avoided on my part. Uncertain how i would do against guardians tho, maybe need to level up more before trying.
Does area of effect/damage even do anything for this build? because pob shows no changes for those nodes.
solid build, did some adjustments for dps and can do ~2min hydra maps (map+guardian), probably my favourite build right now

I think your arc has ~45% crit chance which is good enough. We don't care if our frenzy or barrage or basic attack crits.

Area of effect nodes increase the size and damage of Inpulsa explosions. It also indirectly increases Ball Lightning's dps. By widening the area of Ball Lightning, it means that you can hit a single target more times with each ball before the ball flies out of range.

really wish I tried this build sooner. Oh well at least late in the league means dirt cheap prices!

Hello! Thanks for a great build!

Can you give me some advise in upgrading my char? I have some problems with survival on t13+ maps (unanticipated deaths). I know that i have to increase my live\mana pool and find gloves with attack speed support, but maybe something more?

Yes... Frenzy is just to get the charges, Barrage is to get Life with LGoH - they are not intended to deal damage. I did take temporarily both 30 str/dex nodes near Crackling Speed though. Quality on Frenzy is important, as it gives IAS... same goes for GMP, the quality gives IAS... you don't really deal damage with those gems. So if you're unsure, just check...


Btw, I've been pondering for the 6th link for Barrage - could chain be an option? It's not a defensive one per se but if the projectiles chain you'll get more life out of it with LGoH.

Btw, I think, this is my first char that didn't die at the High Templar.

Okay then last questions i have, what's the importance of the stats when looking for jewels between aoe dmg, spell damage and critical multiplier.

Is there any difference between lightning damage/spell damage/damage
And same for global crit vs lightning vs elemental vs spells crit multiplier

well i understand the general difference but for this particular build

asking since you don't have aoe and damage included in your example search but mostly curious how aoe compares to other types of dmg increase since i can't see any increase from pob.

And finally, thank you again for this build.
As it stands now, i hope i can make it again in a new league (this is my first league playing poe and also my 5th char)

Another way to increase damage would be (as dariidar wrote earlier in the thread) to use a leather belt with increased cooldown recovery, that decreases the cooldown of the poets pen to cast more spells (comes with the drawback of needing alot of attack speed which is hard to come by, might have to make a different tree and/or go with scion for that) but it also increases ball lightning dps since the same target can be hit every 200ms which is reduced by cooldown recovery.

PS: Arc, Lightning Warp and Ball lightning all get no direct damage increase from AoE dmg modifiers, only shock nova does. So its pretty ineffective to go for aoe dmg ( since inpulsa scales with lightning damage the same way, that would be the best way to increase the aoe clear, though im not sure thats necessary at all)
