You went a bit nuts on it all! 80 exalt is rich spending, it was supposed to be a reasonably cheap build for us casual noobs :). I don't know how you even found a baron with that enchant for sale, or did you score it on your own? With all those corrupted +1 boots and gloves I'm curious as to why no corrupted amulet? If you can fit in a +1 curse limit amulet and temporal chains instead of empower I reckon you've hit absolute min/max perfection.

Thanks a lot for sharing!

The same day I did the build, I took it on a test drive on the Uber Lab run, and I got a nice reward for the helm, I guess I was very lucky.

Working on the +1 Amulet. : )

Hey guys, what do you think of Empower as a support?

Empower level 4 is a great thing to work towards for the zombies. I just never believed I'd get there so would prefer a blue link and minion speed for faster zombies buzzing like bees around me. It means the zombies die to badass bosses, but realistically even empower won't keep them alive all the time.

Also, why don't you use Hatred for skellis? They have 50% more added damage, isn't it worth it?

This is a key feature that is worth explaining in depth. Going the hatred path can be great, but avoiding hatred gives you so much good stuff!

Why would it be good?

You can definitely get higher DPS using hatred, and the chill/chance to freeze is a nice defensive bonus. Even vs shaper/guardian, where the cold damage is reduced a lot, and the chill/freeze is almost nonexistent, the tooltip dps remains higher than physical alone. Here's an example in a build General_Sherman shared with me that I'm sure they won't mind me passing along: https://pastebin.com/ANbw3X8G

Why do we not use it?

First: It splits your total dps into both physical and cold, making any armour /resists on monsters more effective. Also, Hatred's extra 50% damage is reduced by 75% when it counts (vs bosses who have resists). So to make it worthwhile you need to take elemental equilibrium, and allocate gem slots to a lightning skill, then cast the lightning skill, then reserve 50% of your mana, then take aura effectiveness nodes.... as you can see it totally changes everything, and is a lot of hassle

Second: I much prefer mana to be used for defenses. My current build has enfeeble aura, purity of elements, aspect of the spider and still plenty of mana for skellies and phase run. Giving up all that means I need higher resists on gear, and way less defenses for me and my minions.

Third: Using hatred gives us extra damage, but it means we can't use brutality, which has much higher base stats than any other support gem. So if we factor in the opportunity cost, the increase is a lot less than 50%.

Finally: Hatred works best with supports like hypothermia, which need a chill applied before they hit maximum effectiveness, and you need your minions to be within your aura range.

As you can see, there are a lot of conditions that need to be met to achieve the higher dps with
Hatred. I like pure physical damage because it relies on less factors to reach peak efficiency, and leaves more scope for staying alive.

Wow, thanks for such detailed answer! I actually playing zombies this league and feel a blast with it, but they are pretty squishi for hard bosses like shaper/elder/atziri even with empower.

Right now I'm testing this build with a bit of tweaks and it feels great so far, even with low lvl skellies I did Chimera fight no probs. Also, i reached 1000 str with baron, with this extra zombie leech character is pretty tanky.
Is there any room for mowement skill? It feels sketchy to play HC without fortify

Thank you for the guide.

I am torn between this and a pure zombiemancer. Would this skele build compare to a phys zombie build?

Hi, I've played zombiemancer during Bestiary with Montreguls grasp, it was my first summoner. Felt really good and powerful! I did all the atlas with every map mod on SC, only end game bosses destroy zombies. Also, I;ve played zombiemancer on HC bestiary till 88 (T14 maps REEP to my fault) so it's pretty tanky and has a good clearspeed due to explosions.

Now I've switched to this one, and even with low level skeletons I can handle T16 deathless. And clearspeed with Queens Escape is crazy :D

Lots of people are using a shield and shield charge instead of queens escape, so that's definitely a good option.Leap slam or charged dash can be used to apply fortify, and are solid options if you don't like phase run. For hardcore, using charged dash to send your minions into an area first is a safe way to play.

I think phase run synergises better because we make better use of our frenzy charges, and better use of our move speed. Also, the 80% less visibility is arguably a better defensive option than fortify!
Thanks for the post. I'm trying to decide on a build for the next league. I have poor internet (old school DSL out on land) so I need to play tanky-ish characters. I had a jugg in beastiary that was great but lagged too much to kill uber atziri. How do you think this build is for bad internet, seems pretty tanky. How does the map speed compare to other medium speed builds like cyclone or molten strike?

It should be good for slow connections. No need to aim your cursor, not many button pushes and not much variation in playstyle no matter what you face. But, there are specialist builds such as golemancers, or the 'wrecker of days' srs build that are specifically designed for slow connections/reflexes, maybe check them out as well.

I can get about solo with 160% movespeed (phasing and flasking) and only stopping to push the summon skellies button once per pack. It's very good solo, but not top tier like, for example, an expensive flicker striker.

For a superb skellie clear speed build, check out 'Unseenspectacle' queen of the forest build for 200% movespeed: https://pastebin.com/ePzYcQ2q

In large parties, with more monster HP, your skellies won't oneshot packs as easily as the screen of death glass cannon builds that others run. You'll also traditionally be a bit slower than the dex based builds. However, because you'll need to stop less to cast, you can facetank more, your damage stays up even while phasing to open chests, and you'll do great single target DPS, you'll still contribute greatly to a fast party map run.

For Uber lab runs, you won't be able to match the 600+ movespeed specialist farming builds. But you'll be one of the fastest general builds going around. You can brainlessly charge through traps and gauntlets, ignore burning ground, then almost oneshot izaro and argus.

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to choose between movespeed and safety:

Safety = Alberons warpath, 1000 strength, defensive auras, strength/defensive jewels and zombie leech
Speed = seven league step, haste aura, violent dead minion speed jewels, maybe even mistress of sacrifice.

Ok, I listen, and cost more than I wanted but I got the Temporal Chains and +1 to curse.
Had to rebuy some of the jewels because the amulet I had before had crazy stats, was not easy.
