[3.4] Zerphi Poet VD - Easiest Uber Elder build - Twinned kill - 20000+ life recovery per sec

i Would absolutely not start with this build in delve. Zerphi flask was only cheap in flashback because of perandus being there. Normally zerphi flask is extremely hard to get, and you HAVE to have zerphi flask for this build.

that's right, but imo absolutely worth it. the good thing about pathfinder is that its kinda easy to spec between builds, I was doing a non-zerphi dps oriented pp vd build at the start of incursion, and farmed up the zerphi later, and I barely had to modify tree for it later.

Currently doing SSF in the flashback league and happened upon 2 Poets Pen and a Zerphis (and 2 of the other flasks - divine distillation and overflowing). I also have a Koam roots (but no chest). As such I was eyeing this build and wanted to try to get some fevered minds... but I tried to corrupt all of my cobalt gems (~12) and didn't end up with any fevered mind :(

In your opinions is it worth trying to go the full pathfinder (and corrupt gems as I go) -- or better to stick to another Poets Pen build? I've never tried a Pen build before and they look super fun but not sure how they work (and only 8 days to mess around with it until Delve).

I can keep playing my other character until i get more, but maybe it's fine for most content without them? ANyone tried?

HI Im following your regular mapping/bossing item build, as im tweaking it in Pob/in game . I realized taste of hate and wise oak doesn't work well together , wise oak will constantly checking your res , when you pop taste of hate . your all 3 elemental penetration will become cold only.

or am i missing something?

OP makes a brief mention of that in the bit discussing The Wise Oak; basically, only your fire penetration matters, and, for UberElder, damage reduction is most important for cold. If you can't manage to get all three equal, then you'll want fire highest and cold lowest, after ToH.

While doing general mapping, you should be moving fast enough that you can keep 100% uptime on ToH, so you can operate with a dirt low base cRes (a whopping 14%, for the OP...) that only gets equalized when it's on. For bosses, good flask management with an Overflowing Chalice should also allow for 100% uptime.

Personally, I don't bother with Oak; it's worth about 7%DPS to me, but I have to switch my armor flask to ToH, and my chestpiece from Kaom's to Lightning Coil, making me lose about 1300hp and forcing me to redo my resistances and I actually end up with less survivability over all, when calculating damage for UberElder.
What gives more defenses against Uber Elder. Purity of Ice (4 or 5% more Max Cold res) or 10% reduced damage from Wise Oak. Getting both is pretty difficult.
Can someone please explain why the gems "multistrike" - "frenzy" - "greater multiple projections" are not maxed out for this build.

Pretty sure that none of the gem/gear setups are fully optimized; just "What I used in various situations." There's a number of similar anomalies.

Multstrike's Q/L doesn't matter since both of them only affect melee attacks; it's only used in this linkup for the large mana multiplier.

Both GMP and Frenzy have no reason why you don't want to max the level (and actually offer slight benefits). However, you may not want to max the quality, since it influences attack speed and could push you over the breakpoint.
awesome build, first uber elder kill for me so this is awesome to say the least. current gear for mapping and the switch for uber seems to be working nicely. will say though, I did brick a few sets due to being skittish of tanking it and actually have been doing it deathless since I started to ignore the fight basically and manage my flasks like im supposed to lol. any tips are appreciated on the gear or tree, toons name is shade_reaver and gear as follows. (yes I know the chain belt is trash. only one I had with reduced charges used lol.)
basic mapping gear.

, does lead me to 1 main question though, which is more preferable on belt, inc dur on flasks or less charges used? also res's are 84/93/84 with the flasks up so pretty much any ele dmg only tickles instead of actually hurting.

It depends on how many charges it uses, what the base duration is, and if you intend on using an Overflowing Chalice. ToH is probably the roughest flask to maintain, since it has one of the highest costs and shortest durations out there that we'll use. (Though I guess a Soul Ripper might be cool to use with Vaal RF...)

Using my own numbers, excluding my belt, I have +40% charges gained (1.4c/sec), and +38% duration. (...And I just realized I have no quality on my ToH.)

ToH: 4.8sec*1.38duration=6.624sec, 30/1.4c/sec=21.4sec, 6.624/21.4 = 31%
ToH w/20duration: 4.8sec*1.58duration=7.584sec, 30c/1.4c/sec=21.4sec, 7.584/21.4 = 35%
ToH w/20charges: 4.8sec*1.38duration=6.624sec, 30c*.8/1.4c/sec=17.14sec, 6.624/17.14 = 38.7%
ToH w/20duration&19charges: 4.8sec*1.58duration=7.584sec, 30c*.81/1.4c/sec=17.36sec, 7.584/17.36 = 43.7%%
(Why 20/19? Because that's what I use.)

Between an Overflowing Chalice and a Pathfinder's 20%-no-charges-used, a 4.8sec/30charge flask can be used indefinitely (or at least for upwards of five minutes, when I got bored). I was unable to consistently sustain 4.8sec/30c w/OC without my 20/19 belt, however.

Question though-- where are your extra resistances coming from? I only hit 85% on my non-cold when running auras, which I didn't see in your setup.

im assuming from the legacy divination giving 6% max, and with flask effectiveness, honestly past that not sure lol.
