[3.2] Juggernaut - Tectonic Slam - 1.1 mil DPS - Crit - Stormwall/Hegemony's Era **UPDATED** 3/4/18

So been playing EQ using Stormwall and transited to TS with Hege over the last few days. Comparing the 2:

EQ with Stormwall
- EQ + Reduced Duration + MPD + WED + ICS
- Bought a crappy 30% reduced duration enchanted helmet which cut the duration to less than my attack rate due to Stormwall's low AS. This led to each hit dealing the full aftershock, which is a lot of damage. 1 hit was enough to clear even blue packs.
- Most of the dmg was Cold and Lightning so the shock and freeze was pretty handy.
- Visibly slower vs Ele resist mobs or bosses.

TS with Hege
- TS + Fire Pen + Multistrike + WEP + ICS
- Avatar of Fire for full conversion.
- Running HoA and Determination now. Ideally should probably run arctic armour too with Enlighten.
- Side effect is that golem DPS is poor. Will probably drop it so we can use Kaom's.
- Hege is finally affordable now. Got a 6s one for 1ex and 1 Divine led to a decent roll:
Spoiler

- Endurance charge sustain is surprisingly good during clearing. I think the 10% gain on crit and Jugg's 25% chance to gain charge on stun with a 25% to gain full charges (7) are the key. Hitting say 5 mobs 3 times gives a really high chance you trigger the full charge gain so you typically end with 6 or 7 charges. Vs bosses is a little different, though swapping to Molten strike might be the better option anyway.

I must be missing something. What is so good about hegemony's era? Sorry if this is a dumb question, wouldnt a dw with a shaped stat stick be better?

I think its important to remember this is PoE. There is very very rarely right answers. I have played DW with shaped off hand for raw clear speed its definitely faster. Hegemony is an amazing weapon and staff have cool pros including block Stormwall gives ele conversion and is strong too. As you see from other posts on this thread some people are 2h maces some are 2h axes. Try stuff out!
I think multistrike seems better than ruthless.

You need endurance charges in order to get the large area and 18% more damage for tectonic. Staves have a node that grants 10% chance to gain An EC on crit. This makes it much more reliable during boss fights. It also has good damage, crit chance and attack Speed (for staves). Pure phys allows you to use AoF, fire pen gem. Plus fairly reliable power charge generation.

If you use a 1h with attack speed you will lose the eduances charges too quickly and then why bother with tec strike?

Are you able to maintain ECs throughout tough boss fights? If not you're losing 18% more damage which isn't worth using muktistirke over other gems.

Hey man, you will help us if you put some uniques ou what you want in determinate item, to help us leveling. How you make the weapon, i suggest the bringher of Rain for helmet, if you can put some of gloves, boots other helmets you will make me happy :D

If the boss has adds or low hp enough to stun, you should still be able to maintain, otherwise you can always swap either multistrike or tectonic slam out. Would swap tectonic slam since you probably want to be at full endurance charges all the time vs tough bosses and immortal call will eat charges too.

Molten strike or heavy strike should be good single target options.

There's also the enchant that gives you 40 % chance to not use a charge on Tectonic, but not sure if that's enough to sustain

Why was the 6l changed from Phys to Lightning to Ruthless? PoB shows less DPS with Ruthless then PtL..

Haha, I was thinking the exact same thing! But then last night I was checking my PoB and all of a sudden Ruthless was WAY more damage than PtL, even though a few hours earlier PtL was way more damage than Ruthless....

Somewhere along the way, and very recently Ruthless overtakes PtL, I haven't tested at what point that happens but it does and it does it rather late in the tree too.

A little hard to see the screenshot but it is +19k damage over PtL

BTW check out this new Armour Craiceann's Carapace Golden Plate https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Craiceann%27s_Carapace I think it might be our BiS

Only reason I like it over Belly is because it is such a waste not getting high Armour values on our body and this one has really good base stats... I have no clue how we could use aspect of crab (requires 25% mana reserved) I'd be willing to make it work just based on the stats.
