I was leveling as physical Spectral Shield Throw, i must say. As soon as i respecced my tree and went elemental i now one shit groups. I couldn't do that as physical earlier.

" I think it might take time to scale phys to be close to ele. At least this is what i noticed while experimenting with the tree and skills. Ele is just very easy to boost early with a lot of ele skill gems. Do you think it would be able to change the tree so sst would be a 4 link for clear a there would be like a molten strike for bosses? I was running frost blades/molten strike last league and it was really smooth and certainly shaper viable. I tried to change some things within your tree but i only got like to 30k melee hit and balls on molten even though i had 2 wildfires. Dont know if PoB doesnt count them properly, but it was crit based so maybe thats the issue.

" I would be playing Ele as it has more toughness for now, and even though i am SC pleb i hate losing exp at 90+. I really hope GGG will improve the gem and give some better damage scaling to phys to work better with shields and attack speed, so phys version is still to be considered. " Current problem for SST is mediocre damage scaling. While Molten Strike and especially Frost Blades can get reach DPS with not much investment. It depends if tree will change in the future to fit Shield Damage better or give more generic crit here and there. https://www.twitch.tv/angry_roleplayer
