You cannot deliver Oni to new char in Strand.

What makes you confident?

I would be surprised if the code checks for an OG in the inventory before spawning an uber-Hillock.

I know I tested a character when Oni was changed (2 leagues ago - Beasty?), I continued playing Twilight, with an Oni that I got mid level 8, until level 9.22. I stopped when Charan said it wasn't possible, I believe in the thread linked by DoubleU.......Never got a second UberH.

You are able to try it though! Get to level 10 - for Science!!

It was actually possible when it was first released but was promptly patched.

Even if you take the Oni and play to level 25 so you can join a party and drop or trade it to another exile there is no way to get it to a zone 1 exile as there is no way to get back to the Twilight Strand Beach (zone 1) once you leave it.

I never have heard anything different than 1 exile 1 sword. It's bad enough that it takes so long to get one (usually well into level 8) that I've never had the desire (or insanity) to keep playing that exile in level 1 to find out if another uber Hillock would come out and play on the beach. The overlevel xp penalty is murder. I know as I have had to play 4 exiles to level 9 to find uber Hillock. In the end of banking the sword on a level 9 exile I've always stopped and needed some alcohol so I'm not continuing to grind the same build without knowing if you can get more than one sword (I don't even think Charan knows if that's possible).

It was discussed many times in the mega-thread. There was an exploit that allowed farming multiple Oni's on the same char.

Charan has said it was never intended to be able to get multiples on the same char.
