Dropped another this morning. He was a marauder and the take down was really easy compared to the scion. I just stood there and beat on him. He doesn't leap slam if you don't move.

You will know your Hillock is uber when you hit him and nothing happens to his health. You can see that the sword in his chest is different. When he pulls it out he gets all green and huge.

You are not unlucky. I think that until you reach level 8, your odds of getting uber Hillock are really low.
