Okay, this felt really funny importing a 49 character into PoB, but I want to figure out what works best for this skill while leveling as well ;)

It looks like Maim gives you more damage than wed currently so I definitely recommend that as your 4l. With your current setup, wed is only 16% more damage than a 3L. Faster Attacks is 19.5%, and Maim is 22%. So Maim definitely wins it overall. I guess you're not dealing enough elemental damage overall for it to be worth it. I'll note this in the guide when I get a chance!

So reccomended 4l while leveling looks to be: SST - PPAD - MAIM - Fork/Slow Proj

edit: Also you're lvl 49, here in 2 levels you can start using a Girded Tower shield which is actually the 3rd highest base armour shield in the game. You might just use a few alts to get a decent flat arm roll and then haku lvl4 craft up to 74% armour on it. You'll use a Girded Tower shield until level 64 when you can equip Ezomyte Tower shield OR just wait 3 more levels until 67 and get a colossal tower shield which would be the end game magic/rare shield.

Yeah, I was thinking where I should path next and Winter Spirit + Primeval Force seemed like the right choice, crit for later.

edit: what about lioneye's promise? that's 70 though.

edit2: after taking Winter Spirit, WED gives me more dps than Maim, yay.

I submitted a bug report since attack speed while holding a shield mod on jewels only boosts our default attack and not our shield throw attack:

As mentioned in the guide, Lioneye's Remorse is a great shield as well, but yes requires level 70. It has up to 180 life on it which is HUGE and up to 1727 armour on it which is reallllllly good also for a cheap unique shield (assuming their still cheap this league)

I have one question. Is it worth to go non-crit or damage difference will be too big too justify this decision?

I've never done before crit character so I'm more used to doing resolute technique characters.

I think for leveling you could do either RT or ele overload phys-to-light perhaps if you wanted to. But for endgame, there's only so many ways for us to scale our damage since we don't have big damage modifiers on the tree like swords, daggers, axes, and claws do. Also we can't take the weapon-penetrate nodes since we don't use a weapon. I think overall, conversion + crit for endgame is the way to go because it simply gives us more things to scale. Proj, ias, phys, ele, pen, accuracy, crit, multi. You want to have as many things to scale as possible.

Im lvl 27, SST shows around 230 dps and im really struggling with bosses and one target damage application. As much as i was hyped for this im considering reroll :(

Dude your shield has 31arm/Eva on it. Lol I'm sure you've walked over better unrolled white shields. Your shield arm/Eva roll = your damage. Also don't invest multi stuff yet.

Go here and sort by highest armour roll. Look at the level requirement to make sure you meet it. Highest arm+eva = what you need to use.

i brought super expensive 3L shield, inserted damage on full life supp and now im at 516, lets see how it will go. Maybe you could (for us noobs) mention where should we spend points until we will be able to start from slayer.
